dryslot
100+ yo trees are hanging low (branches). Everything plastered...heavy snow falling and agree it is windy. I'm at 30.5 and actually am happy it transpired like this because of how thick the snow is. Once we cold, hopefully I still have power... ORH_wxman
Just skimming thru pages i thought you had a meltdown last night He did...Jerry had a total rare meltdown...even though we (many mets) all told him it would be a 33F paste for a while before it went to a colder snow. He said he didn't care as long as the taint wasnt too bad...but he let the 12/30/00 analog creep into his head too much and went ballistic. But snow sooths the savage beast. weatherwiz
This thing is definitely stalling...look at the deformation band in W. CT...it's actually retrograding westward instead of pushing eastward.
Mr Torchey
Someone in SW CT has to come in with close to 25'' if not a bit more...that band just will not move. its not wide either, from westport into fairfield on the southern edge, i cant imagine just north of the parkway in elevations up around 4-500 ft what they are getting based on what I have. To think this all will rotate ne, somebody around will is going to get destroyed, just destroyed

DomNH
you can already see the orographic effect the MerriDeath Valley has on the last few radar frames. Yeah, though that will be ending within the next 10-15 minutes it seems as we are taken home for good with heavy snow. Snow rates haven't decreased much here through it.
