weathafella
NW RI is getting destroyed...just about into my BY...but NW RI is taking the brunt of it right now...but I keep getting pieces of their bands going across me. Looks like that band of which you speak connects from about OWD to there. You can see how a big ne-sw oriented band is setting up over a wide part of MA/RI. 40/70 Benchmark
It should favor NE MA but its going to "curl" around the mid-level center...so S areas should see something from iut, even if its not nearly long. Its hard to say for sure how it plays out...but it could be pretty intense. Watch the stuff coming SE from RI and into ORH county and even stuff out west of that. The low is nuking right now and lots of weird nuances can go on...but I think we are still waiting a CCB band from hell to come crossing E SNE. Harv has the jackpot of 12-18" through metro west.....I think the biggest winners are in that band in Berks.....

BrokenASOS
Sounds like fun in SNE! Congrats! Being a weenie, but a lot of posts to go thru. What"s the word on QPF amounts for mid coast and southern Maine look like? I've gotta think we could close in on 0.8 to 1" along the coast with the way things look. GYX seemed worried about Dryslotting issues later, but given the placement of the H7 low and NAM/GFS tracks, I really can't see it impacting us all that much today. Lady weather be fickle though. Still, I think around 12 looks pretty good here.

MaineJayhawk
morning boys. working my way back thru the thread. no thunder yet but 30 dec on my doorstep. 2-3 inches eyeballing. nature of snow is small flakes but very thickly falling and low visibility. surprising amount of wind already. gyx still going 6-10 They haven't updated. I think they need to up your totals a few inches. You might think the same thing.

Ginx snewx
What a race wit the DS, That's great is's starting to fill and and elongate as it moves into se mass. Hopefully doesn't get too close to BOS. As far as the CCB, man if this verifies.... building CCB, back filling over my head, briefly went to just snow mod but now back in the goods 10.5 new Round two of plowing shoveling done, heavy sh it, Had to brush off the portable garage where the Jeep is stowed, balls deep by the time I was done. No its going to be in E MA....they will do very well out there...but its going to be in E MA i think with this ccb that goes nuts IMHO...I could be wrong though. I think the longevity in E MA might beat them...but yeah, they will rack it up with that out in the W Berks...near PSF.

#NoPoles
it looks like the back edge of the precip shield is fast approaching though...major major change in the consistency of the snow since it began...temp at the start was 27, now it's 31.5...any higher and we have p-type issues...it's possible we are going to have power issues as well...i was looking out the windows and the snow-caked trees, they are hanging so low... weatherMA
Harv has the jackpot of 12-18" through metro west.....I think the biggest winners are in that band in Berks..... I would think metro west will get at least 12-18" though. Already almost 9" here and Will must be over 10"...

tmwes
Thunder here around 5:40; just shoveled a path for the dogs. No measurement, but there must be well over a foot here in Colchester. That table was cleared off last night at 11:30.

MainePhotog
I hadn't looked through all the posts either but I have to say the radar looks tremendous for us. Copious amounts of win. You'll be at 12" by 8:00. Lots of gravy for Dom this morning. Saw a post during the Euro run that said 1.25" to 1.50" QPF into Maine, but didn't say where. GYX has 6-10 for just about entire warning area, not any different from when I went to bed at 2200.
