The good thing about here (not really "good" but good for measurement lol) is that we had large patches of bare ground. Even though it's been cold, the sun is still able to melt the snowcover away. I still had about 1 to 2 iches on the ground in most spots. I made sure I cleared away areas before this storm, so I could make proper measurments. I mentioned last night that the RUC nowcast was showing a band that reminded me of Feb 2006 across western CT and that is being realized now...filling in across central CT, but I am very interested to see who winds up with the most snow out of this... Ababa Posted January 12, 2011 Share Posted January 12, 2011 The streets should be fine for the am rush if my street is any indication of the snow removal efforts....I've seen the front end loader go past twice followed by a plow truck/salter. It is really on its own now. No model can simulate this. This was one of the surprises I mentioned last night. Here is one. Making landfall on eastern LI.
