In the brunt of the intense band now, 40dbz returns, too tired to get out of bed, but looks impressive on radar. Only thing is that the back edge is quickly approaching, so let's hope it slows down soon, or snow may very well end a bit earlier than expected.

SICK, SICK storm, SNE'ers. Man I've been GLUED to this thread for HOURS and I'm in VA lol. Gotta hit the rack, its 415am here but I'll be back to read more in a few hours. WOW, Just WOW. Mind-Boggling rates. I hope you get two feet, from the bottom of my heart. Congrats!thumbsupsmileyanim.gif

We're up to 8.5" as of 4:00 am here in Metuchen (northern Middlesex Co.) and the snow just started lightening up, as the back edge of the good stuff appears to be just about over for us. Could eke out another 1/2" if we get some snow showers, but I think I'm ready for bed. A nice storm, very well forecasted by the NWS for us and most places, as far as I can tell. It's really beautiful out there right now. .

Unbelievable....getting a front end loader to plow out my neighborhood this time around.....the streets in my neighborhood look great. In all the storms in the past year have not seen a front end loader once. Can't complain about snow removal this time around....great job at least on my street in qns

This definitely had some of the prettiest snows I've ever seen. It's beautiful outside.

Still coming down at a pretty good clip, despite the highest returns passing to my east.

Going to go out and measure when its all over, Doug? At this rate the back end will clear Long Island by sunrise lol.

Wow, I did just sound like a NON-weather weenie. Maybe I should go get off my lazy behind and put my contacts in so I'm not blind. Any snowfall total reports from SW CT?

So what?

Get out of bed! A true weenie is inspired by 4"/hr rates!

We've already got a foot of white so who cares when it ends...

Most of Queens is in a relative minimum of snowfall because for the first 4-5 hours of the storm they were mostly in between the 2 stronger bands over NE NJ/Manhattan/Brooklyn and the other band over Suffolk County

Latest snowfall total out of NYC is 8.8 and Islip is 9.2. LGA is at 6. JFK is at 6 lol I think the airports are still playing catch up.
