winterwx21
I wonder if this new forecast will verify-- 11 inches for NYC, 13 inches for JFK and up to 20 inches in Suffolk County. I can't see anyone on the Island getting 20. That dry slot hurt them, and this is moving too fast. Does NYC really have near 11? Jeeze, I ended up with only about 6.5 here. Quincy
In the brunt of the intense band now, 40dbz returns, too tired to get out of bed, but looks impressive on radar. Only thing is that the back edge is quickly approaching, so let's hope it slows down soon, or snow may very well end a bit earlier than expected. RU848789
We're up to 8.5" as of 4:00 am here in Metuchen (northern Middlesex Co.) and the snow just started lightening up, as the back edge of the good stuff appears to be just about over for us. Could eke out another 1/2" if we get some snow showers, but I think I'm ready for bed. A nice storm, very well forecasted by the NWS for us and most places, as far as I can tell. It's really beautiful out there right now. .

baroclinic_instability
The RUC keeps trying to shift W each hour to correct with obs. Based on Montauks pressure falls, I think this thing makes landfall on eastern LI.

Ababa
Unbelievable....getting a front end loader to plow out my neighborhood this time around.....the streets in my neighborhood look great. In all the storms in the past year have not seen a front end loader once. Can't complain about snow removal this time around....great job at least on my street in qns

Kaner587
the back edge, albeit with lighter snow, has great slowed in its west to east progression, maybe NYC gets another hr or 2 of some light stuff for another inch or so...

baroclinic_instability
For anyone interested, it only took 15 hours to reach the required 24 hour pressure drop to be coined a "bomb" (I am ignoring latitude--which is considered in the actual determination).
