Here in NYC 1010 wins accuweather going to come out with a good call of 6-12 while Craig Allens 12-20 going to be tough to get. Nws 8-12 should verify nicely. Staten island and manhatten are the clear winners so far. I'm at 4-4.5 in Brooklyn and I guess we an get to 8 by the time the stuff in nj rotates through.

OMG! this is insane just went out on another jebwalk and this is the hardest i have seen it snow around here no lie I gotta be getting 1.5"2-5" rates approaching 9"thumbsupsmileyanim.gifthumbsupsmileyanim.gif been very heavy for 3+ hours now

This is pretty incredible. Westchester is getting creamed with 35dbz echoes breaking out on the Upton NWS radar over 684. Just an incredible band...I'm on the edges of it and still getting crushed.

I'm tempted to just ignore you, but you've literally posted for over an hour that you have around 4...how is that possible?

Looks like radar is showing a band consolidating over the area now...fun times ahead

We have about 4 hours then its done...so lets get the most we can in the next 4 hours...don't think we are getting too much after 7-8 am. With 7" already 12" is a reasonable guess here. The big totals are going to be coming in across central and eastern CT.

Yes, they were always going to do better than us, I think Upton's 10" for KHPN is going to be a hair to low, hopefully we can get a foot

Because it's snowing lightly here in Brooklyn. Sorry I'm honest I can't say I'm being pummeled mauled raped all the languages used on this board that makes everybody else cringe and feel jealous that thier not getting it. I call it as it is we had a light snowfall some heavier bands around midnight. That's about it.

Ripping is my favorite word, no idea where that one started.

Wow. It is amazing that you are getting crushed because here in ossining I am not getting crushed only about 4 inches. Hoping that I get in on your action. rolleyes.gif

The banding over central NJ just looks insane, and could drop up to 3"/hour once it translates up here. Headed straight at us. Of course, there's no lull in the snow intensity at all right now, still 1-2"/hr estimated.

That banding was over me for the past couple of hours and it was incredible. The flakes were huge and it was literally pouring snow. Had to be 2'' per hour rates in the heaviest bands. Definitely better rates than what I got from the 12/26 storm since I was on the western fringe of the heavy band. Now seems to be starting to wind down. What an awesome storm.
