Kaner587
some areas are likely to overperform, if they haven't already. I think nows the time to make a concrete statement such as that.
Pitmaster
Just took a walk here in Monroe -Orange County- would say 7 inches or so and coming down at a nice solid clip.
nzucker
Agreed, while 12/26 was fun and amazing it turned at 20"+ storm into 15" here due to low ratios This is a much easier way to pile up snow, such efficient and fluffy flakes. 8" in Dobbs Ferry +SN 23.2/
Bluescat1
Still getting thumped in TTN, you guys up north have a ways to go.
jm1220
dry slot filling in over western Suffolk..was scary for a while Looks like the dryslot stopped almost exactly at the Wantagh Parkway/Jones Beach and looks to be pivoting east now. Hopefully it doesn't shut too many of you off there for too long but it looks dangerous for at least Islip east.
XtremeWx
Band trying to fill in over Queens.

lindywx
Had a little lull here as the dry slot knocked on my door but S+ just commenced with strong winds. There was 6" on the ground when I measured at 2:
dbc
This is truly amazing. Radar was about to push 20 dbz's into the area but those areas shrunk down and we remain in 25 dbz and have been in that for the last 2 hours. Again virtually whiteout right now. A-L-E-X
Looks like the dryslot stopped almost exactly at the Wantagh Parkway/Jones Beach and looks to be pivoting east now. Hopefully it doesn't shut too many of you off there for too long but it looks dangerous for at least Islip east. So the dry slot did make it to eastern Nassau County but stopped there? Im hoping with the lack of high winds, this will be a snowstorm that's easier for the airports to measure

pazzo83
Also the sounds of snow plows is a constant right now. Of course I live in one of the most busy areas of the entire city, so that probably has something to do with it.
