Assuming we don't get into the dry-slot, and it stays to our east, we might get into a really nice band--since we'll be just to the west of a high subsidence area, which means more surface convergence.

We should be fine, but here it's about at the edge of the cliff. Ripping outside right now but with these annoying sandflakes. Close to 6" on the ground.

6" of new squeaky clean snow here....just took a drive around the block. What a scene of beauty.....25F with heavy snow here......

havent measured here but I assume its the same.

I like the look of the radar now, a lot of bands converging on SW CT as the dryslot moves eastward

Yeah, theyre still saying Suffolk County will jackpot, but if things keep going this way, it might actually be our area ;)

I wonder if that that band in somerset county will make it to middlesex...anyone think so?

Picked up 2" of snow in the last hour here in Somerset (Hillsborough, NJ). Currently, 7" of snow and counting. Still moderate to heavy snow.

KHPN like KISP had 1/8 viz... and KTEB (who always seems to get Heavy Snow) is still reporting it...

TEB is probably spot on. Here on the cliffs of the Palisades about 10 minutes east of TEB we are definitely in some heavy stuff right now.

Wow, that dryslot is massive.

Jason it is but it's definitely back filling in. Still thinks folks east of say Holbrook/Farmingville stand a chance of being slotted for a period of time but should fill back in. Actually looks like the start of an "Eye" forming.

Hopefully we can make a run at a foot and NYC at least 10 inches-- I want to keep this double digit streak going.

I have a good feeling about the stuff coming NE out of NJ on the backside of this dryslot. Upper dynamics look amazing and we could really be dumping some 2"+/hr rates at times through about 7am. Suffolk gets in on it too but after it looks like they shut off for a time. 12"+ is still a definite possibility for us.

Ok I have a 5ppd ban for some reason(how and when can it be lifted ?) and only have 1 post left til tomorrow afternoon so I wanted to be prudent and wait a little while before I posted..With that said this is worth using a post up for because here in Hillsborough(Somerset County) I counted

Almost 5" inches of new snow in the past 2 hrs and now have around 9" total. If we are not there yet will be any minute as we are still pouring snow as I write this. This is a huge surprise especially after the afternoon reports of Heaviest going NE of here.. This past 3 hrs have snowed harder longer than anything I received on 12/26.. Not sure how much longer it will snow like this or snow at all but already have to say this will go down as one of the best Quick Thump Storms I have seen in years..I rather have snow like this for a shorter period of time than a lighter longer duration snow.. Now the question is does she have enough left in her to get to the Magic 12" mark ?
