Picked up 2" of snow in the last hour here in Somerset (Hillsborough, NJ). Currently, 7" of snow and counting. Still moderate to heavy snow. Upper dynamics look amazing and we could really be dumping some 2"+/hr rates at times through about 7am. Kingwill Posted January 12, 2011 Share Posted January 12, 2011 Ok I have a 5ppd ban for some reason(how and when can it be lifted ?) and only have 1 post left til tomorrow afternoon so I wanted to be prudent and wait a little while before I posted..With that said this is worth using a post up for because here in Hillsborough(Somerset County) I counted Almost 5" inches of new snow in the past 2 hrs and now have around 9" total. If we are not there yet will be any minute as we are still pouring snow as I write this. This is a huge surprise especially after the afternoon reports of Heaviest going NE of here.. This past 3 hrs have snowed harder longer than anything I received on 12/26.. Not sure how much longer it will snow like this or snow at all but already have to say this will go down as one of the best Quick Thump Storms I have seen in years..I rather have snow like this for a shorter period of time than a lighter longer duration snow..
