RU848789
Looks like it'll snow for 1-3 hours after the radar lightens up... snow is just ending now in State College. Check out KCCX... DIX is probably picking up the end of the deep moisture. Ray - you've been talking about the snow being over by 1 am or so - are you talking about Philly or up here in northern Middlesex County? I'd hate to think I have about 2" now and at maybe an inch per hour will only get 3-4 more hours/inches of snow for maybe 5-6". Am I misinterpreting what you've been saying? It won't be quite done even then in Philly, but that lighter stuff back in central PA will be around by then so that it'll be a much lighter rate. Shouldn't take much longer to reach Middlesex, but I think you'll do as well if not slightly better than Philly... the back edge of the heavy stuff should slow down as it approaches the coast. I cant see this lasting past like 4 AM for Central Jersey..at least the real accumulating stuff. #s we were never really forecasted for the heavy end stuff. Im just under an inch IMBY. I just think the coastal stuff is happening to late for our area. Im ready for sleep, plowing commences at 4 AM expecting 4-

Would the stuff after 1am still be on the accumulating side but take alot longer to build-up.
LVblizzard
Eyeballing it, looks like just over 2.5" in Allentown...still coming down moderate/heavy.
daxx
I am close to the back edge, and the ratios are much better than it was earlier. I have 4.2" of snow.

Yeah, you'll still get a little accumulation after 1AM. Maybe a half inch or so... 1 inch if you're lucky.
LMolineuxLM1
Yeah, you'll still get a little accumulation after 1AM. Maybe a half inch or so... 1 inch if you're lucky. well according to daxx there is a higher ratio factor working in their favor now, so maybe that will propagate more over towards here in Southern Delco. canderson
Just reporting in from a bit west of you guys. Harrisburg here, have about 4.25" but we're about done. Have some flizzard stuff but it's not going to add any more depth. Good luck, hope the backend stalls for you guys around PHL so you can pick up some nice numbers. RowanBrandon
GFS and NAM are in pretty much 100% agreement. I don't think there are going to be any surprises.
famartin
Based on the radar, if I had to guess I'd say the surface low was just east or southeast of the MD/DE state line. Looks like its moving NNE.
Rok
Didn't you have, like, 2 feet of snow a couple weeks ago? Lol, yes we did Ray and it was awesome...I just can't stand rain when it's been cold enough for snow
goldstar
I measured 2.9" in far west allentown, certainly gonna make it to the 3" in the 3-5 forecast. Will be interesting to see if I get fringed by coastal bands once the rest of the primary slides through, looks like the far edge of the banding splits lehigh county from the coastal, of course im to the west... this storm has been great, most accumulation this year! famartin
Will it start to pivot and maybe hold onto the Philly region? I'm gonna say that I doubt it, though nothing's impossible. The band hanging to the west just north of the low, back toward DC, will be the comma head as this thing gets its act together.

IsentropicLift
The progressive nature of the system is what's really killing us here. This doesn't look like your typical coastal storm on radar right now in terms of banding. Things are definitly improving on radar but it looks like everything comes together literaly an hour or two too late.

I'm just kind of assuming here...
