Looks like the back end of the steady snow is starting to show up on KDIX...

Yeah, I just saw that. Hopefully that slows up some or it gets to the western part of the LV by 11:30

That back edge is getting dangerously close to my location, although there are "hints" of it slowing down a bit. I'd like to see it stop right where it is and hold for awhile

Looks like it'll snow for 1-3 hours after the radar lightens up... snow is just ending now in State College. Check out KCCX... DIX is probably picking up the end of the deep moisture.

Where is KDIX and what does that mean?

KDIX is the NWS doppler radar in Ocean County, on Fort Dix land. It had been in VCP 31 all evening, which means better sensitivity at low reflectivities but scans only once every 10 minutes. They (Mt. Holly NWS) switched it to VCP 21, which isn't quite as sensitive, but scans every 5 minutes or so. And on a lot of internet sites, has a different color scheme (the more familiar one).

We have 3+" in northern DE at the moment and its coming down hard. Radar looks like maybe 2 more hours until the back edge gets here so 5" is not out of the question.

Looks like the coastal was like 4 hours too late for us. Any chance that back edge slows down or starts to backfill a bit? Is the low moving N still or NE now?
