We'll have to watch where the CF starts to set up and tighten up as the flow increases out of the ENE initially....it could back decently W for a period before coming back to the east.

It could be a focus for extra enhancement of snow.

I feel good.....temps rising throughout the immediate Boston area and the uncle Ukie is west......yummie.

He's getting his beauty sleep while 35-40dbz move over his head.

Is that rain or snow on Long Island?

It should be snowing here in about 20 minutes and to you in about 45 min. It looks like we won't have to wait until 2 or 3am. My only fear is it's one narrow band and then convective crap afterwords, while the main CCB sits up in CT/RI and the rest of MA.

All: If most of you want to track storms independently I am sure all of you know about "Storm Lab" or "GrLevelx" products. Something not many people know about though is "SimuAwips". It is basically a 3 in 1 FREE program that many students have taken advantage of (myself included) it works on your internet browser so there is to be no downloading of any software. A sample screen shot I took of the winter storm last week can be found below:

I have no stakes in the matter so it is not like I am plugging this for any sort of "gain." Just a really nice program out there for your use. I am going to attempt to use this during a chase (depending on the quality of internet). Right now it utilizes the RUC and SREF but I have talked with people who seem to believe all the models will be added to this in the future.

This looks interesting. Copied from the main forum,,,

What's with your thermo? BOS is 30F, I'm 28.8....I'm using wxbug...you have your own?

It's a cheap Brookstone deal. Sensor is not far from the building, but it's brick. Doesn't give off too much heat. I don't take it verbatim - I have generally noticed it tends to be close to KBOS temp, given I am inland a few miles. So the 1 or 2 degree heat from the building probably compensates. So really it's the trend that I notice.
