Boston-winter08
the only reason i watch TWC is for their field reporting during storms, and they're really pulling out the stops on this one: Roker, Seidel, Cantore all in Boston
Clinch Leatherwood
And is absolutely wimping out on QPF with the track of those ML centers, not to mention the radar upstream. This could explain two things: 1. Weathafella's MOS #s being low for a day or two 2. why i need to read all maps before assuming someone else did There's no reason to discount the GFS, in fact I'd say spiit the difference between the two in SNE for now. they both look fine. Sey-Mour Snow
what orientation is the deform band supposed to take SW-NE SSW-NNE WSW-ENE and where might it show up....we must have better ideas now on where the mid level low will close off over the coastal as per gibbs earlier post today. will wanna take a stab at it. or scott? not locking anything ....just any trends? its not your normal deform band. its more of a blob over ct then takes the shape of a band towards boston that just moves due north

HarveyLeonardFan
Looking at the radar the E. half of L.I. is going to get smoked! Last hour Montauk was 34 and some of the winter mosaic radars are decpiting rain along the Twin Forks.

ENJOY everyone! about to be SN+ IMBY for a while!! Because it doesn't spit out the same high QPF? It still shows the max in SE CT, just like most other models. I thought we were always told QPF was the last field output, look at everything else. It looks fine otherwise IMO, and the fact that it's putting the maxes where it is.....not sure what's wrong with it.
Kbosch
SN here is now going to SN+. Working on an inch. The radar says all of CT is going to be smacked. Enjoy it, and start taping some rulers together.

ORH_wxman
Oh yeah, i remember 12/13/07. Dendrites were nowhere to be found in my area for the most part. Kinda weird too since the omega was bullseyed in the dendritic growth zone. I still dont really understand it. Yeah that was bizarre...I think the lift probably ended up a little offset and the bullseye of the lift wasn't that thick (deep)...that's my guess anyway.
