rivers
OMG they just took off the sensitve (clear air mode) mount holly radar and it is amazing a line of intense thunderstorms something i've never seen before in a winter storm... looks like a squall line racing north!!! I see it ..I bet thats where are thunder snow and crazy snow rates are
Mr. Windcredible!
Somewhat, wouldn't have been surprised to see some graupel at the start.. happened last storm when it wasn't predicted. Surprised, however, at how nicely this snow is accumulating. Dendrites are really nice. That bands south of LI look really good, will be interesting to see what they do. Yes...that band south of LI looks intense. Desperately want! Downside is I'll probably be sleeping...just don't have the energy to stay up...not with 2 boys who will be up at 6:30am

esmango
Maybe it's just me, but i think you will do far better than 12", Bridgewater and that whole RT 24 area tends to do really well compared to the surrounding areas. I hope so Bryan, on the eastern end of EB right on Hanson line so a few miles east of 24.
cpickett79
ruc has storm stalling for 6 hours pretty much with steady snow for much of ct through 4 or 5 pm.. if that indeed happens everyone will be over 2' in ct what orientation is the deform band supposed to take SW-NE SSW-NNE WSW-ENE and where might it show up....we must have better ideas now on where the mid level low will close off over the coastal as per gibbs earlier post today. will wanna take a stab at it. or scott? not locking anything ....just any trends? hooralph
FWIW, RUC continues to look good for western zones as it takes low from near BID toward or just inside the CC Canel. Dry slot gets into BOS for a time if it verifies. You... Hush.
Mica Vim Toot
-- Guys up north I wouldn't give up on more QPF yet...NAM may still be holding too much back to the SW in lieu of you guys, let's see what the others show but it's probably looking good. I'm in desperate straits when the only hopeful sign I see for anything up here is a bone thrown by Messenger... Bruddas got a bone for N. ME? DomNH
looks like gfs is over/a tick SE of ack then just off chh. And is absolutely wimping out on QPF with the track of those ML centers, not to mention the radar upstream.
Clinch Leatherwood
I see it ..I bet thats where are thunder snow and crazy snow rates are Yeah that's wicked cool. If the micro vorticies don't show up for real - the ones the nam had forecast... i really believe it's a convective feedback process that triggered the NW tug to QPF. Let's see how it plays out though.

Nevermind, brings the 1'' line a lot farther north than I thought it would. Still skimping in CT at least, probably.
