Clinch Leatherwood
The HRRR would have it mixed all the way to 495 later on. LOL if right. Could go either way here, we are about to find out if the meso models were picking up on something the globals could not, or if they were picking up on something that didn't exist. Clinch Leatherwood
heights are actually more similar to the 12z NAM this run than the 18z, FWIW to start....typhoon tip for the win?
Clinch Leatherwood
Huh? new nam not quite as impressive at 6hs as the solid 35-40 dbz from before but it's still sweet

tavwtby
I can't stop thinking of the possibilty that if everything goes just right I could end up with 3' of snow in 96 hours....unprecedented! MaineJayhawk
21z SREFs bump the juicier QPF much further north into NNE. Looks 12z Euroish. Score. Winter's BACK, baby!!
CoastalWx
NAM looks a little east of 18z. Track more over mid/outer Cape?

MaineJayhawk
Takes the low right over the Cape, as boston-winter said: I wanted it over the canal and into the GOM ... could very well happen. Maybe get it to slow a touch, too. lol
CoastalWx
Maybe a ph east and a ph north? Looks of little consequence though. Yeah it ends up a few ticks from 18z. It really responds to the forcing and tries to loop north, despite starting out east. One dynamic system!
Clinch Leatherwood
NAM looks a little east of 18z. Track more over mid/outer Cape? Yeah huge difference at 5h in terms of vortmax...the death spiral is gone. Classic NAM.... But like I said looks great for everyone anyway. Was only a difference between storm of the century and a blockbuster It's cold here too now, if it can just nudge another 15-20 miles east Phil and I should have fun too.
