Will what time will rates first be greater then 1" an hour here- best guess?

I'm guessing its probably 3-4am when it really starts to rip...I mean we could start getting some mdoerate snow close to 1" per hour (if snow growth is good) as early as 1am....but the real show is basically 4am to noon.

Yes indeed. Keep thinking about Scott's post earlier wrt the pivot. ALY already has it's far eastern Berkshire County totals (6 miles from here) slightly higher than Box's. That was for Hinsdale at lower elevation too. However you slice it a nice thump.

Yup. Got my frial weathertap going. Great radar for a great storm!

I haven't seen him post here yet but maybe he does....his handle on eastern was MilfordMAwx or MilfordWx...i forget.

Thanks.

I sent him an email to see if he'll let me archive his mesomaps. I plan to do the same for my mesomap as well as radar imagery. It'll be neat to be able to store and loop these for an entire storm.

Just reviewed the Mesoscale map of temps in SNE. No evidence of a coastal front in SNE outside of the Islands. Looking at Radar and certainly not impressed although the heavier echoes are moving due NE. The low over the Ohio Valley looks quite strong and we're all awaiting the energy transfer. By this point, I'd be expecting lightning strikes by now east of the Delmarva. This thing isn't bombing over the NJ coast continental shelf like the Dec 26, 2010 storm, looks closer to Dec 9, 2005 but 50 miles south and east. I would be worried north of the Mass/ VT line with the exception of S NH. Bombogenesis is happening late and probably just south of E LI and Block Island. I-95 Corridor from New London to Boston jackpots. Coastal front stays over the Cape Cod canal or east. Deformation band to the far NW is always the Wildcard and I'm sure the eastern slopes of the Berkshires, Litchfield Hills, Hillsborough, NH, and York county, Maine do equally well if not better than the coastal plain.

Have you read any of the previous posts? There's been lots of lightning down south and radar looks great...lol

I think the biggest key right now is that the radar isn't supposed to look absolutely freaking amazing at this juncture. That starts happening in a few hours, but I agree it looks good right now. Exactly where it should be.
