Clinch Leatherwood
Through 12 the GFS trimmed moisture back on the extreme SW edge down by DC...it's partly because it's faster. It's also further west.
Boston-winter08
BOX def siding with the Eastern GFS..while OKX takes the NAM..I know which one most of us would take do u have the recently updated BOX map? i keep seeing the 1:05 update

Damage In Tolland
Unlike the "blizzard" a couple of weeks ago, I really don't think we'll see 2 separate maximums this time around. I think there will be one centralized mega band that will smoke someone with 3 to 5 inch per hour rates. Areas to the east of it will dryslot and have some precip type problems, while areas to the west will miss out on the best forcing. FWIW, RUC looks to be west of the 18z NAM. Not sure I'd trust it with its less than stellar performance with the storm a couple of weeks ago. Max will probably run in a PSM, LWM, ORH, BDL, to BDR line with 20 to 25 inches. I could see someone topping out close to 30" somewhere in here. AWT

NEK_VT_Upslope_Event
How do you think we'll do in Boston/Brookline? I'm figuring 8-14. based on QPF and likely ratio, that feels light. Even BOX has us for 12-16".

CarverWX
Box has me in the 12-16 and I am down in Carver. How likely is that?
Damage In Tolland
No, it did change. If it did it wasn't by much and certainly doesn't mesh with OKX maps..so there obviously was disagreement between offices

weathafella
Well I'd say NAM is way overjuiced qpf wise but it may have a good idea of low track adjusted (nodded) about 10 miles east to come into synch with other guidance. Big one on the way. Euro I suppose is the way to go and that was a beautiful hit for most.
HoarfrostHubb
If it did it wasn't by much and certainly doesn't mesh with OKX maps..so there obviously was disagreement between offices They had that purple/magenta colored stuff in the grey and the grey covered up here... I think I was lowered by an inch or 2... NBD... NAM will prevail

moneypitmike
Yep, GFS caves big time. So accept that it's caved and toss the rest. It'll be trying to play catch up with the right models and everything else will be underplayed. Dollars to donuts.

CoastalWx
How do you think we'll do in Boston/Brookline? I'm figuring 8-14. I feel pretty good about BOS area getting around a foot. I think there are some issues with the track and DS. If the SREFs or even a track like 20 miles se of the NAM, we could get much more. If 00z NAM comes in a little east, then we could get smoked. LOL, we will probably get smoked even with the NAM track.
weathafella
GFS has expanded qpf, Expect 0Z to go nuts. 1 inch line now to NH border SW along 128 in MA down to Tolland down over eastern LI.
