18z GFS looks like all snow for my C NH peeps as well. It's pretty much isothermal at 0C while the precip occurs. 0.75" QPF of 10:1 cement would nicely solidify the forming glacier.

Its looking better, But i still have some issues here snow to mix, But i would take that........

I think we can give the clipper conjecture a rest.

Expect a coating.

Man, this thread as been dead, today. lol

That's the general rule of thumb now, which makes me sad. Those used to be so fun, somehow extracting 4 inches from instead of 2. Back in the day...

It's tough getting much from a clipper in C/SNE with the sfc low and vortmax tracking over NNE.

Some places a coating, some an inch, some a few flakes. All good. I had to travel from one facility in JP to another near the N End today. Deep snow cover in Boston. Snow covered ice on the Charles to the Science Museum where it begins emptying into the harbor. Snow encrusted trees/bushes....simply a magnificent winter scene. Temps managed to get into the 20s but the lack of wind made it feel reasonable. Not serious torches en rout. Epic winter....simply epic. Savor every minute....one never knows when it returns after this year (maybe next year?)

I was so looking forward to getting out of work just to admire the pack and the snow encrusted trees, plants, stonewalls, fences. Sat on the back deck savoring it. Life is great, what a dream storm. The fact the cold holds the pack makes it so much more enjoyable. Snow on snow coming, coating to just clean the edges then more snow with an ice crust, should be unreal.

Ginx, looked for smoe good drifts but oddly enough didn't seem like that much drifting between here and 2K. The site received approx 36" which took most of the day to clear. I took a few pics with the camera phone but forgot to forward them to the computer. Will do so tomorrow. We're into it now, you know the old saying "Snow gets Snow". Looking for 1-2" to fall over the weekend then I think we have a good shot at a high level advisory or better snowfall Tuesday with even more fun beyond. Now I've got my eyes set on getting a record snowpack depth. It's definitely possible from here,it's only January 14th and the snowiest part of Winter has yet to arrive. So beautiful. Big Winter incoming, Big Big Winter.

Worked in Northampton today. What a disaster area. A few poor winters and it's like they forgot how to deal with snow removal. Most side streets 2 cars could not pass. Cars at parking meters were halfway out to the yellow center lines.

In contrast, Greenfield this morning brought in some big snow blowers from VT, blew it all into dump trucks and had the snow cut all the way back to the curbs by noon. Probably killed the town budget but the streets downtown are clear.

Hopefully get and inch tomorrow to freshen things up.

:snowman:
