mahk_webstah
Well the Euro pretty much gave the worst case scenario I think for early week. HPC is riding it. It will probably trend a bit in our favor from here on in. And then we go into the deep freeze. Pete gets a net ad by Tues, I got a little loss but nice crust, much of SNE gets a moderate loss but nice crust too. Then we are into cold as far as the eye can see and with the PNA rising we will get some swfe chances. Gonna continue to be a great winter! Ginx snewx
I'm heading from Mendon to Foxwoods for a mortgage banking expo today... Going down 395, will I see any of the real deep stuff, or about the same as here? Look to your left at exit 92 and wave, actually I am working at the Museum behind the woods, look out one of the windows and you will see a big tower, that is the Museum, wave. Deep stuff is near Norwich Colchester after your Foxwoods exit, although down here on the Reservation there is a lot of snow.

A few inches over the weekend then at least a front end thump here to ice if not all snow. Snowpack will continue to deepen here. Big Winter incoming, big big Winter. Clinch Leatherwood
Monster in laws have arrived to stay at our place, time to head skiing. Good deal really they take care of the creatures. Funny, might sneak an inch or three out of this system over the weekend on the coast. Hopefully a few inches of fluff in the mountains before next weeks mess. Have a good weeekend all, see you Monday.

nzucker
-8/-12, pretty chilly start. Think Snow. That's incredibly cold...wow! It's interesting that the coldest readings occurred in the Hudson Valley and Western Massachusetts where skies were clearest, everyone else dealt with passing clouds and stayed above 0F. Even Middletown down here in the valley hit -1F, just shows what snowpack can do since 850mb temperatures were only around -13C. I think it trends colder. A few inches over the weekend then at least a front end thump here to ice if not all snow. Snowpack will continue to deepen here. Big Winter incoming, big big Winter. I think you can stay mostly snow/ice. ECM temperature profile looks suspect with a coastal forming near NJ, yet the 850 0C line is all the way into Central PA. You can see the models are really struggling with this storm, as the 6z GFS was basically a nothing wave exciting off the coast with some light snow-->showers for most. HoarfrostHubb
We stayed above zero last night/this morning. Lowest I saw was 8.3F Some places out by Pete are still in the low single digits to 0 range as per the meso site at 9AM Skiing should be "interesting" tonight at Wachusett. NWS putting Sat night snow at under an inch, but sometimes these get a bit more...
