northpittweather
Yeah this one is far from set in stone. Latest NAM looks like it might get me worried about a slop event.... just watch the runs tomorrow shift the storm south again, a northern solution is not likely, because the current storm is bringing arctic air down
KPITblizz
Lol...love how we go from south to slop in two runs. Haha, wow this run was really close for a while. Ended up really nice though. I'm really interested in this one..
north pgh
1.25 qpf. Almost all snow. I'll take a little mixing if we can get an 8-12 storm.
Paweatherguy1
Nam is EPIC!!! We have close to .75 inches of qpf and still snowing at the end of the run! These runs remind me of one a couple days before feb 5-6 last year...and it's moving into the short range.
Paweatherguy1
1.25 qpf. Almost all snow. I'll take a little mixing if we can get an 8-12 storm. Well, the 1.25 is over 60 hours. .75 is the storm...I would say we end up with an inch if you went out 6 more hours.
north pgh
1.25 qpf. Almost all snow. I'll take a little mixing if we can get an 8-12 storm. My bad.. I read that wrong. .75 -1.00 qpf. Still more like 6-8. Things could change in an hour though. Let's just lock this thing in and everyone can have a 3 day weekend.
Burghblizz
Lol...love how we go from south to slop in two runs. I haven't seen the final QPF or snow accumulation, but as depicted that looks all snow and still going at 84 hours. I don't want to get too fired up about NAM at 84 hours, but I bet this translates to a foot + as modeled if extrapolated beyond 84 Someone mentioned Feb 4 1995 as an analog. For some reason I remember that storm...I think we got about 6". I think I remember it because that was a slow winter sandwiched in between the great winters in the early to mid 90's http://www.meteo.psu.edu/~gadomski/NARR/1995/us0204.php

north pgh
Switched over to a very light Freezing Drizzle.. Still light freezing rain here. Just went out and the sidewalk and driveway are iced over. My temp has gone up to 30 degrees. A good sign. Hopefully it will be above freezing in the morning. I have to be out in it. Burghblizz
The last event gave 6-8 inches to agc?? Good event, and not here and there? Rants? I agree that the last event did not satisfy my "big storm" need either. Certainly a nice front end thump....then 48 hours of nice of on and off LES. No complaints here, but it was what it was. nat
I'll vouch that over here in West End, the sidewalks at least are an absolute disaster.
