Snowden
I believe you need back to back blizzards within a 4 day period to officially call it Snowmageddon®©, besides isn't this "normal" for them.

Fozz
slightly more normal than for us but a pretty big area of 18-24" .. i cant recall many storms that put totals like that down across almost all of ct Their snowmageddon was Jan 2005 or Feb 1978, this may be a HECS in some parts of SNE, but this is no snowmageddon. CAPE
just about 3 inches here. and on top of about 2 hours of freezing drizzle- the roads are a sheet of ice under the snow. So I'm at right about 12 inches for the season. Been just close enough here to get the SW edge of some of the decent precip from these "SNE Specials"
Ian
Their snowmageddon was Jan 2005 or Feb 1978, this may be a HECS in some parts of SNE, but this is no snowmageddon. this is covering a bigger area than jan 2005 with 20+.. that was bigger at max but mainly SENE. i got like 13" in nw ct after being forecast to get 3'. PhineasC
SNE got boned a few times last winter. Didn't one of the big storms rain on them? They deserve one.
CAPE
Pretty amazing to look at the US snow cover map this morning...70% of the country has snow cover and the only state that doesn't is Florida.

Curlyq
Yeah, bust. GFS was clearly right and even a tad high towards the end. NAM was way out of line south of SNE. I got 3.5 inches so only doubling that in NYC after seeing the radar last night is sort of terrible. I was curious if there was a "lessons learned" about the models and what they were forecasting from this past storm and from the 12/26 storm. Sundog
SNE got boned a few times last winter. Didn't one of the big storms rain on them? They deserve one. The "snowicane" of February 25-26th 2010. 20 inches in NYC and rain in Boston. Around 9 inches here btw today. Excellent call from Upton for 8-12.
