Winteraddict
Can't believe tracking a storm for more then 7 day can not even make a dusting here in southern maryland. Snow just north by a few miles almost seems like it doesn't want to come here

TUweathermanDD
Band to come out west with S+ really looks to be gathering some moisture and is expanding in all directions.
lsukev
I've never been so happy to see 1/2" of snow. Been snowing here for 25-30 min. Lightening up now.

usedtobe
I've still got freezing drizzle and it looks like I may never get into the good band. Here's a sounding that explains the freezing rain. There really was not a warm layer but warm cloud tops and I suspect some of the sleet reports were heavily rimed ice crystals but were white not clear like true sleet. Note on the sounding where the temp and dewpoints lines are close together (where there is saturation) the temps never go below minus 6C. Where the temps are colder than that, the two lines diverge. You can't get ice crystals to from since most ice nuceii don't activate until the temps are colder than that. Discouraging as I noted that on one of my CWG posts and then the models get wetter and had deeper clouds and I never revisited the issue. I wish I had. TradeWinds
Into wraparound already Yeah, coming down very nicely here, both size of flakes and rate. Over an inch now and hoping the 30 DBz returns get here for a bit. Seems 2-3" here is a possibility if these bands hold together.

Kmlwx
Radar to the southwest has an arc shape forming. Looks good for the second band. Not to mention it seems there's some filling in between the two bands going on.

Sparky
It would be more fitting for this winter that it just dry up and vaporize.
Ian
this final wave might end up verifying (on the low end) some of the 2-4 forecasts. though the ratios were awful with that first one.. easily heavier snow than sat but didnt amount to that much more. Sparky
I live in an English (nice) Basement studio apartment. I have one window. Not once have I gotten up to check outside. Not once. And I have no desire to. What's next? You live in Laverne and Shirley's apartment .
Fozz
Nice secondary band building to the west of Balt...that should lay down 1-3 inches. I'm really liking the look of that band, we may see 1-2" but I'm afraid it will be over after that.
Jebman
Steady light snow. Another super skinny band approaching - should give us another fifteen second burst of snow before we enter the dry slot. The UL low will rob Peter to pay off Paul (NYC and SNE) leaving us in a massive subsidence zone while farther NE, greedy bastids feast riotously on tremendous snow rates all night long thru Wednesday and on into Wed night. The coastal will bomb resulting in strong winds and extremely heavy snow for the SNE - They'll get blizzard warnings, methinks
Kmlwx
The "new" Winchester band doesn't look all that impressive - we will see if it can grow like the previous two. The area between the first two bands is looking respectable now. Should be getting a bit longer of a period of snow than the first band.
caviman2201
Nice mix of sleet, freezing rain, light snow and graupel in Queenstown... accumulated about .25" of ice on my windshield wipers in the 45 mins I've been home and now its getting a layer of snow/sleet/graupel on top... disgusting Roads are horrendous..
