HIPPYVALLEY
You'll do fine. I drove through your area yesterday coming back from NH..very nice area there. I like I-91 up there because nobody is on it. Makes me wonder how I ever lived in the Boston area for so long - lol. Avg speed from my house to Noho or Brattleboro is a cool 75 mph. Arnold214
What do you think Mike? Walking the fine line for the area. Im afraid the persistent banding will be to our nw and that we have a few hrs of drier air problems and maybe a brief mix. But overall im mot seeing too many negatives

SJonesWX
Well that goes without saying. Im expecting the standard attlehole 10-16 while ginx up thru nw ri gets 18-24 I'd be pretty darn happy if I was in the 10-16 "hole" lol
weatherwiz
GFS bufkit has close to .8'' of QPF at BDL...definite bump upwards.
Arnold214
I'm not sure there has been a time to almost expect thundersnow....but this might be it. Obviously not everyone will get it, but expecting fairly numerous reports of it. Agreed
Clinch Leatherwood
Our boss keeps reminding us of the epic failure storm last year where we were calling for 2 feet in Boston and we got 1". What was the date of that storm? I don't remember the date but that storm was an absolute lock -- Can someone correct me if I'm wrong but didn't the 09 SREF's QPF match up darn well with the 12z GFS in SNE? Esp if we consider it's very prone to be dry NW of a max like it is this time? Essentially they seem to line up well with the 12z GEFS? Vs the GFS
Cold Miser
[rant on] lol - My boss made sure that I knew that we were expected to be at work tomorrow. It's funny how places don't want to give up that free day off no matter what the cost. Get here no matter if it's life or death minion! In all honesty my boss is pretty cool, but the president, above her loathes vacation, and holidays and stuff like this, so I could imagine the "minion" comment, if only in his head. My last job in Hingham, MA., I remember the place closing once for snow. Same thing in D.C. - Blizzard of 96, office closed. I suppose besides forcing YOU, the employee to take a vacation day instead of getting the freebie day, it alleviates their responsibility. Suppose the office were to call off work tomorrow, but the next storm they don't, and someone gets hurt coming in? Cue the lawyers, and legal issues. Kind of like the way the NFL shot themselves in the foot by postponing the Eagles game during the blizzard last month. [/rant off]

Bostonseminole
my boss bet me that we don't get more than 6 inches in Billerica, MA... I laughed and took his bet.. to bad it was only $1.. should have asked for a 10% raise.
weatherwiz
While the GFS does show less in the way of QPF it actually has better snowfall ratios than the NAM at BDL...GFS at or just above 15:1 while NAM was around 12:1 to like 13:1.

I actually stopped for food and gas in Greenfield on my way up to NH. Being an inexperienced driver from CT, the rotaries scared the hell out of me. Cold Miser
ohhh GC stands for God's country. Man, in the 3 days I don't post I totally miss out on the creating of the abbreviations, first CoT then GC. Nice to be fully up to date. GC's been in full effect for a while, but what those living in the supposed God country area's is that God is actually a bit more fond of the Indian Casinos down here in Connecticut. I think that more or less relates to government employees. I doubt the state is going to pick up the tab for a day's labor for the entire private sector.
