dendrite
This is pretty neat to see. Note how those theta-e surfaces our in the vertical and trying to fold back near 12z Wednesday. Some of that may be related to dynamic cooling, but that's a good indication of instability aloft. I was looking at those on coolwx for OKX and BDR. Nice. OSUmetstud
I do think there is a bit of phase shift issue with the NAM at 18 hours. The whole 500mb height field is just slightly slower than the GFS over the whole domain (not just the low). This is the bias that Baroclinic instability was speaking of. I think it is likely that the NAM was too far west...but I still think the GFS is too far east.

ctsnowstorm628
BOOM. 29mm of qpf over my house...a little over an inch and thats not all of it better than gfs...actually a good idea of the qpf we could see
weathafella
GFS ensembles hold serve....just outside of ACK maybe? Robust qpf.1+ to NH border and almost all 3 SNE states. 1.25+ BOS-BDL S and E. 0.75+ up into S NH/ME. GFS op is wrong.

weathafella
GGEM similar to RGEM and big solution for ME/NH.

CoastalWx
So....what to think? I agree it's a flag that most are probably ignoring. It was low for a lot of areas today, so it's not just a coastal thing. I wonder what it's pin-pointing.

Yeah if it was just the coast it would make sense but it's region wide. Troubling.
