Mica Vim Toot
I just have to say that Mica Vim Toot's use of tyros and wastrels in describing the heartless SNE citizens was many levels of win. That is all. Hey, you forgot "dilettantes". Certainly the most fitting description for the lowlands electric broom Mcmansioneers. Vim Toot
goeatweeds
I suppose this is off topic to a certain extent but why don't all the models run at the same GMT? Based on the reaction from the peanut gallery on every single board people pretty much run with whichever model is current, as long as the current model agrees with their wishful outcome. Tears, otherwise. Seems like it would be beneficial if all the major models for regions came out at the same time, or twice as often or SOMEthing. I don't claim to know the reasoning behind the modeling so I expect there is a reason, but from my science background it confuses me that all theories aren't released based on the same input. Seems like it would be easier to determine the efficiency of modeling if they computed concurrently.

NECT
Well unlike the rest of you weenies.... when I start getting excited you know it's really time to get amped up. If I'm going nuts in 25 minutes after the GFS you can all get excited. haha - I'm by no means questioning you - I really appreciate you being the voice of reason. CT) is a bit too aggressive? i know this wasnt directed at me lol but i went with 6-10" far nw and 10-20+ for the rest of ct (see other thread). not bad wiz! Baroclinic Zone
Bob the RGEM is tucked in awfully far west on that color map. Surprised to see it that far west. Don't know, maps look to be updated but they seem off compared to the b/w.

I remember 12 or 13 years ago Messenger and I were some of the biggest weenies. Things change... I think you get more perspective and a bit more conservative over time. DomNH
not out that far, what's it doing? It's like it develops the sfc low at 18, then it re-phases with the primary low at 24. I can already see this thing getting chucked into trash cans faster than weenies into KGAY's eye.

Clinch Leatherwood
Now WTF is this model trying to do at 24 hours???????????? Continues to be a fluid situation with the models. The GFS/NAM are vastly different at 5h by 24 hours. We can get to the same point going different directions, just odd that there's so much difference still
CT Rain
Yeah it looks good but GFS does weird things sometimes...gotta stay vigilant...lol.. GFS looks awfully far east with that sfc low given the 500mb setup? no?
