mitchnick
looking at Euro MOS for BWI, looks like there will be some snow, especially at the second half of the storm nothing huge because total qpf is .51" at BWI, but definitely our next "threat"
Ji
it actually gives IAD .50 qpf with temps near 32 and 850 temps below zero

WxUSAF
Good thing the low looks to strengthen in time to hit SNE. Wouldn't want those poor souls to struggle through a winter with less than 60" of snow and only 2 HECS.

Midlo Snow Maker
piece of the big PV in canada breaks off and tries to creat a new 50/50 low before the storm and holds the cold in somewhat but not enough, axis of the trough goes neg tilt
usedtobe
northeast of maine/ nova scotia With another low over the great lakes, the high position doesn't inspire confidence. It suggests an easterly component to the winds. The pressures being low over the lakes and higher offshore. Right now I wouldn't invest much in the system. It's not a good pattern for snow or even the surface temps staying below freezing. I noticed that the gfs ensembles are not very bullish.

usedtobe
GFS ensemble mean looks like an Apps runner. It's indivual members look pretty ugly and with the 50 50 low gone it going to be tough to hold in the cold air. I didn't think the threat warranted much discussion.
