JamieOber
and the snow has now shut off to a very light snow for the time being... now to see what the rest of the stuff just west does pressing east, my somewhat heavier snowmap depends on it. Still going here for now. Really came down. Not sure what we got.
Storm Clouds
Uh oh...is that the dry slot I see forming? http://radar.weather.gov/radar.php?rid=lwx&product=N0R&overlay=11101111&loop=no
canderson
Looking at radar, the coastal precip might swing a swath of snow into the Susky Valley, or at least try to do so. Looks to be expanded from the coast.
Scummyratguy
thanks for concern, just talked to my wife and she said "83 is a disaster". she's still in the baltimore area , so she hasnt even hit the area that has been getting hard snow for a while. e york, about 2 inches and coming down hardest i've seen all night. Santa Clause
Little over 2 inches, back edge currently east of State College. Should end up with 3 inches, not too bad.

We got 3.3 on the snow boards. I was fairly surprised. I guess we cashed in more with the heavier band. Just light snow now.

Red Lion? That's cool. I lived the first two years of my life in Windsor but grew up in York City. 83 can be really bad in snow, that's for sure. EasternUSWX
Heavy snow continues. Up to 3.5". It's awesome. 25 deg.
canderson
Approaching 2.5" in midtown Harrisburg, had a nice heavy burst about 20 minutes ago. I figure, looking at radar, we might nose up to 3.5-4". Even if it stops snowing now, I'm happy with this event. .5" of snow > 0" of snow any time! Santa Clause
Pretty satisfying event, 3.0" in my backyard. What is the next threat here for CPA? Btw, this even was fairly short, meaningful snow started around 430 in the area.

Storm Clouds
Is it just me or is the radar showing the area of snow moving more northeast now instead of east because of the coastal gaining power?
jen2swt
Just measured, just under 3.5"..Very nice!
canderson
It is just simply dumping snow right now. Hardest by far all night, Have to be near 3.25", but will go measure in a few hours once this settles down (back end of precip is approaching the mountains, so we're unfortunately probably on our last legs here).
