kvegas-wx
Triad folks, if those bands currently lining up on the NWS National Mosaic can keep coming up 85 and train over top of us, I can see 2-3", maybe 4. That's our best shot. http://radar.weather.gov/Conus/full_loop.php

NEGa
light freezing rain continuing here as well - there is about .15" now. if it doesnt turn into frz drizzle soon we may end up with a little more ice than i had anticipated. ice cycles are starting to form, limbs are starting to bend some
Moose4
Nothing here at Page and 40. Nothing here now, though the sky has that "I'm getting ready to unload" look to it. Maybe I just saw a few flakes that bounced off Widre's snow shields over in Chapel Hill and landed in west RTP?

Phelps
Well that's a bummer got ZR and IP now. Well now that it's wrapping up what's the status of the snow triangle? Without getting out there with a ruler I'd say we've got about 4 inches. I've certainly enjoyed this legitimate snow day but it's still hard to believe we didn't do any better considering what was happening to the south and east. The neighborhood road outside my window isn't even close to being covered. I guess you'd say Charlotte certainly wasn't the loser but they certainly weren't the winners either. Still looking for the big one that has eluded us for so long. (thankfully i was in Rocky Mount for Christmas so I got my fix there) Sure is hard to make a snow lover happy. We enjoy what we've got but always want more (or at least I do).

LMA1973
Raleigh, N.C. — Areas of central North Carolina that haven't seen snowfall yet Monday may not see snow at all, said WRAL Chief Meteorologist Greg Fishel. "If snow doesn't fall by 8 p.m., it's over. That's all she wrote," Fishel said. Fishel said the window for snow ends at 8 p.m., when air in the mid-level atmosphere will dry out and warm up, but precipitation will still fall in the Triangle in the form of sleet and freezing rain. We enjoy what we've got but always want more (or at least I do). Got just under 4...those moderate bands just didn't last long enough and didn't add up. I was thinking the same thing, yet again CLT somehow missed what everyone else around us got. I love this storm and Christmas storm but I want to be in the jackpot zone for one storm this year and have +6. The one great thing about this storm was that it was during the daylight hours. Been a while since we've gotten to see a good snowfall without it being in the light of a street lamp.

It seemed like we've had some decent rates at times but it just didn't add to the base we got overnight which is surprising with temps in the mid 20's through the event. Maybe next time we can break the 6" barrier and the triangle of doom. OK - weenie rant over!

Pathfinder
I was just out and about during the transition. When I left it was snow with a bit of sleet mixed in and within 10 minutes it had gone to light freezing rain, very fast transition. Roads were worse than I thought, very patchy. Some places are just wet, which I'm sure will freeze later and other places are fully covered. What was odd is that you can go 100 yards and go from wet/light slush to fully covered and slushy. All in all not the storm we expected, but not complaining.
