MoWeatherguy
Would like to see more precip coming out of the Euro over the next few runs but prolly not gonna see much more. Looks like a general 2-3 inch snow to me with obviously some higher totals with any banding that happens to set up.

There is decent agreement as well.
Wx 24/7
I wouldn't disagree. I think the NWS SGF has a good idea with 2-4".

MoWeatherguy
I noticed Ron Hearst KY3 says only a 1-2 event here Thursday. Minimal moisture and too fast moving.

I have opinions about that man, but I will keep them to myself except to say that he said the 2007 Ice Storm would be only a minor event up until they started get reports of power outages. Meanwhile, Jill Gilardi said a band of heavy snow could set up across far SW MO right in our neck of the woods.

I too have some opinions about Hearst. At times in the past he has been guilty of really hyping up some unbelievable totals only to bust later. Maybe he's just trying to become more conservative lol. MoWeatherguy
NAM up to its old tricks tonite. Switching back to a further N, slower, stronger solution. Just go w/ the Euro guys lol.
JoMo
I know you all are hugging the EURO, but the 00z NAM is looking good! If you like a mix. It's dangerously close. The system develops differently this run on the NAM. Have to see what the GFS says about that.

JoMo
Looks like it's developing a deformation type area. 850's during the best precip. Pushing above freezing over NW Ark. Snow map:
valerie
A baroclinic zone would rock.
MoWeatherguy
Yeah looks like its trying to pop a new low over AR with an earlier phased, stronger system. Could be a deformation with this that would include a pretty sharp cutoff on heavy snows somewhere in our region.

Wx 24/7
Looking Euroish. NAM just too inconsistent to hang my hat on. Agreed, although NAM may be trying to pick up on some of the banding.... Still think GFS has the better idea. BTW... "you know who" went from not a big deal to "several inches of snow" during the 10:00 newscast. Anyone surprised? I'm not. Edit: I would really like to hear Doug's thoughts. I hope the internet gets back up and running for them soon.
