MaineJayhawk
Not hard to do this year so far. Coastal areas along Maine, NH should still do well, no? Even into SW NH? GYX was thinking 4-8 in the overnight AFD. I'll see in a couple what they say this pm, but I'm not expecting a heckuva upgrade.

dryslot
Will there be warnings by tonight? or tomorrow morning? I would think for most down that way it would be later today, As that would place SNE within 24 hrs........
vttaconics
Seems to me I skied in 4' up there last feb. All you need to do is take a ride down into any of the valley locations where folks live.... It's easy to get orographic snows at elevations of 2k-4k. The champlain valley, on the other hand, is one hell of a screw zone.

Lava Rock
Seems no matter where I move to, winters stink. Lived in sturbridge, ma from 2003-2009, and with the exception of winter 04-05, all others were terrible. Finally get back to my homestate maine, and get the same lousy winter here now. Just can't win.
MainePhotog
For the members in Maine and NH ... no specifics, just generalities. I saw that map on the WCSH noon news report. WMTW, this morning, had 4"-8" coastal then 3"6" inland. Still plenty of time for everyone to hone in and for models to give us a sweet kiss on the lips. Live on RI/MA border, thought since y'all are new englander's would be able to contribute/read some more insite on our area. on to the storm: thinking low ratios PVD metro but still mostly if not all snow. Like the latest GFS runs worried about the NAM showing a western solution. love to see what you all think about that.

dryslot
At 48 Euro looks like its coming in looking like the GFS, Low looks tick west inside the benchmark............
weathafella
Euro is inside the BM...slightly west of the 0Z position but rock solid now for the past 5 runs or so.

Jebman
Congrats to all SNE and NE on your big hit. You should score a couple feet. But we Mid Atl'ers really know how to enjoy snow. We enjoy it to the full - One inch at a time.
NorEastermass128
Euro is inside the BM...slightly west of the 0Z position but rock solid now for the past 5 runs or so. Is it still advertising a slower exit like at 12z yesterday? Most are calling for a (relatively speaking) quick hitter.

MJHUB
Ratios may be alot higher than you think. The Bay I would think plays into my thinking, after seeing the Taunton map plus the forcast temps of up to 35 degrees on Wed, I tend to be conservitive, no doubt the effects in PVD metro will be greater than the boxing day bilzzard. OT- are there a lot of RI/Eastern Mass posters?
