dilly84
Storm cancel before it starts? C'mon Dilly, it's March... snow is just for laughs at this point. What radar do you use? Yea, that radar doesn't impress me, sorry. Big dry slot coming towards you, with very little moisture behind it. And the HRRR sucks for everyone bu cle pretty much. I-76 north, like CLE said. Areas like, Newark, Coshocton, Wooster, Akron, New Philadelphia, will be lucky to see 2-3" I'm just not impressed with radar, or the trends. So far I am dead on.. for my location and the HRRR is showing it. When nws offices start lowering amounts, you might as well expect nothing. BuckeyeSam
I haven't really been paying a lot of attention, but it seems like NWS went from 1 inch or less, to 1-3, and now wwa for 2-4 within the last 24 hours. That it's happening at night gives me a little hope, but not much more than a morning nuisance even if we end up on the high end. Good luck to you guys up by the lake though. I'd be a lot more excited if I was up there!
Trent
Save this little gem. Obviously overdone, but it's incredible because this snow map looks like a classic lake effect event. You'd never know otherwise.
Paweatherguy1
I have zero expectations for pit with this.
wxdudemike
Little concerned the best snow may head west of Columbus this evening, but I still expect around an inch or maybe two overnight if temps can fall quickly enough. Getting moderate sleet right now.

dilly84
after seeing the 18z runs of the nam and gfs I think it is time they lift the warnings for anyone south of I76. has me now in the 0-1" range. game over outside of cleveland

Where is this heavy snow going to come from? I am just not seeing anything major out of this as all...the new NAM shows about 2 inches for KPIT. Paweatherguy1
Kpit, I thought, was getting better...they did handle the Sunday event fine, but the end of feb and this one have been mind numbingly bad. They have me at 4-8 and I think I'll be lucky to get 2. Nam is terrible, gfs is worse. Both cut off precip in the next 4-6 hours. Radar looks atrocious as well. To wsw this season for snow. One, they didn't put up until the snow started...this one, we might not hit advisory level...on top of that, their discussions have been vague, and led me to believe they have no clue and decided to stick to their nam runs from yesterday and go down in flames. Unfortunately they are my nws office too. Eventhough they're 3hrs away. They had me under a ws watch, which is precursor to warning, then go with an advisory for me and warning one county away, and it looks like I have a better shot than you. They have me in 3-5 you in 4-8 and I think we both bust

It was like there wasn't even an event coming.

wxdudemike
Looks like we have around half an inch here...ULL continues to spin on top of us so I think my 1-2 inch call should work out. Maybe I'll be happily surprised in the morning
dilly84
9 miles west its heavy snow with around an inch. So doing better in coshocton than where I live
OHweather
Heavy snow here. Large dendrites with visibility near .25 miles. Have at least 2" on the ground (did not measure but it's easily 2" if not 3) and about an inch of that has fallen in the last hour. Looks like the heavy band is trying to pivot. Will see if it remains overhead or shifts just north. The snow is very picturest, sticking to everything.
Northernohio
Heavy Heavy wet snow here in Avon Lake. We will easily see a foot of these rates keep up.

NEOH
6.5 inches as of 7:30am. Bush and shrub breaking snow. Still ripping pretty good. Looks like the immediate lakeshore areas will do the best. Probably another 2-4 to come.
