alex
Hi All - A few questions about outdoor ice skating... first of all, is it safe to assume that the ice is thick enough by now in Eastern Mass, and what are your favorite ponds for this? With the currently thin snow cover, I figured this may be a good day for it! Thanks!

alex
Thanks! Saw a report from the town of Dedham, too - gave me some confidence. Had a great time on the ice
HoarfrostHubb
People up here have been ice fishing since mid December, other than last weekends torch
w7xman
Go to the local hardware store and buy a handdrill and a 4 inch bit. You can never assume anything, especially if there is current under the ice...or a spring...or birds kept it open for a while...or you get the idea... That being said, I've been making lemonade with this snowless winter on most of the local lakes since mid december...
