This big guy loved the cold weather and snow when he wasn't diving off the dock for sticks and frisbees. He was a Border Collie mix. Suddenly got sick 5 days ago and we finally had to put him down last night, buried him this morning. Only fitting he was covered by snow while laid to rest. RIP Roscoe!

3 to 4 inches so far in Dahlonega in about 4 hours between roughly 11am and 3am. went for a drive on 400 and had forgot to put windshield fluid in and thought I might not make it home it was snowing so hard. had to stop every couple of miles and bang the wipers. awesome.

Sorry for the loss of your dog. He looked like a great dog.

Yeah. I do think you will get it. That dry slot has gotten smaller and the precip is on a pretty good trajectory toward N. Cobb and Southern Cherokee.

I'm so tired right now I'm not sure I care anymore. :) You my friend look to be sitting in a great spot. The move to Adairsville is treating you well tonight.

BTW how cool that you lived in the same neighborhood as the great Alabama weather legend J.B. Elliott.

He could be one of the nicest of the people I have met. I bet he got sick of all the questions but he never showed it. It would be like having Corey Tucker living next door and he found out you were a Met!

Yeah, Adairsville. Go figure. They have had a pretty good snow drought but this winter is putting a huge dent in that! I was actually worried about moving out of a more CAD-favored area.

I think I am the only GA nut on here. I will be hurting tomorrow. tried to go to sleep about 10:30 but kept reading obs on my iphone, so hit the road at 11pm. Let me tell you, you will wait for what seems like forever, but when it hits, its gonna hit hard. Lots of wind, and the ground gets white quick. next thing you know theres a couple inches on the ground. Good luck to all you in NC who are staying up so as not to miss those first flakes. This is an awesome storm.
