Is anyone from the Huntsville AL area still up?? A 50-55 dbz thundersnow just crossed that area south to north in the past 45 minutes on GR3 and GR2AE ....simply amazing snowfall rates must be going on with that. The previous hour the Huntsville airport reported 4 inches in the hour.

I have an image of thousands of drunk men wandering through the snow tomorrow night trying to find a place that has power to watch the Auburn national championship game.

Awesome -- you called it (again) 2 am for your BY.

You said 2:00.

BUST!

OUTSTANDING! You worked for this one bro!

ha, have to give credit to RUC. It said so for the longest time. Its not steady yet but the RUC does have it coming down hard here pretty shortly. I probably won't be awake to see it though. Total zombie now.

Indeed it did. I'm impressed with its track and it seems to be getting a really good handle on this event. Congratulations on your flakes, btw. :snowman::thumbsup:

That's sad -- all that hard work into explaining this thing and now you won't watch it??

I'll try to stay up a little longer but at some point, will have to sleep. The chase and anticipation is the fun part to me, the buildup and climax. Then it can leave in 2 days , instead of hanging around a week..like I know its going to do.

Temp still 28 and flurries. Nothing heavy yet.

About 6 inches on the ground here in Chattanooga. 25 degrees... looks like more snow grains/ice pellets now than snow. Surprising to say the least. I literally missed about 3 inches of snowfall while in the shower, lol. This is without question the hardest, deepest snow since March '93 here. No doubt.

wow your already at 6 jesus you might make a run at 10-12 the way the radar looks :mapsnow:

whew, I've been alternating between threads, posts, other computer stuff, and looking out the window with floodlights on the porch. Now pouring! The winds are streaking, so its neat to see the snow blowing sideways.

I've never experienced heavy dry snow like we are getting now. I am absolutely amazed out how much it reduces visibility. Even at the height of the March 09 storm I could see the treeline from my living room. During the heavy burst tonight you can't see much past 100 yards. It's just absolutely stunning out there!!! Approaching 3 inches here!

AWESOME ROBERT!!! IF ANYONE deserves this, it WOULD BE YOU my Friend. Waiting patiently here in Belmont. Nervous as hell on the bust factor. I will not breath a sigh of relief until I have snow falling. SO STOKED for ya, as well as everyone else in the SE board who has received snow so far.
