Hugo
snow hole in Horry County SC is frustrating, snowing literally everywhere around us Eastern Horry truly is getting a heck of a screw job. Every call on TV and on here is busting big time for most of NE SC, with some areas approaching half a foot. But poor Horry just can't seem to get anything going. NCStateMMY
Celling has lowered a consideralby here in RTP. Looks like we should start seeing stuff falling soon...........hopefully.
Brick Tamland
Man, everywhere to the west and south of us is getting some good snow, and at very good rates. Hoping it gets here like that.
magpiemaniac
No I haven't. And you guys did quite well with the Christmas storm: 6-8". I got 3". Ok, I'll be nice and include you on by dibs call. And by "you guys" I think you mean the airport. As for MBY, I didn't see anything close to 6" or 8". I don't live at the airport. Brick Tamland
We need that radar to fill in more. You'd think the further north you are, the better chance of snow you'd have. Seems like it is killing us this time, though.
Snowacane
No I haven't. And you guys did quite well with the Christmas storm: 6-8". I got 3". With the snow on the coast now, looks like everybody in the state will exceed their avg snow cept for us and parts of the Triad, WTF?

And then the final kick in the gut will be snow up the Mid-Atlantic coast.

Brick Tamland
The dry air is killing us. It's taking forever to saturate the air. Same thing everyone and their grandma has been warning about for days. That is the same old story with most of the snowstorms in NC. Charlotte and Fayettevile are getting snow and we can't get anything. Usually they miss out because of the track, not because of the dry air like here. What is it about the Triangle and that dry air? WidreMann
The dry air is killing us. It's taking forever to saturate the air. Same thing everyone and their grandma has been warning about for days. It's not even that. It's killing the precip way before it gets here. The bands are dying in southern NC. They can't even make it here to saturate the column.

Brick Tamland
So, if we don't get anything, and we're in a Winter Storm Warning, is it then ok to find a cliff?
GaffneyPeach
Reports that the only plowed road in Cherokee County is I-85 and it's snowing so hard that it's impossible to keep it cleared. Bickford on Channel 7 just said all that is left are some light snow showers around the area. He is sadly mistaken. The wind is trying to kick up now and it's snowing just as hard as it has all morning.
weatherheels
So, if we don't get anything, and we're in a Winter Storm Warning, is it then ok to find a cliff? Brick, I thought you were long gone over that cliff hours ago. Did you climb back up? I hope that band thats stretching from Asheville up through Morganton and Lenior can strengthen and take a more easterly track.
