Srain
yeah, though the SPC seems down on it, likely for many of the same reasons b.i. noted above. hgx didn't even include thunder wording for this area. but i guess the svr disco should go in another thread. this one appears to be focused on snow. There is the pinned thread where we have mentioned the severe side. Perhaps a new thread would work best, though.
BowMeHunter
Looks like the GFS is locking in to its idea. Nice hit for Moneyman.. Dryslut track for me and then there is the winds off the lake to deal with.

Moneyman
GFS shows a good .5 QPF here of all snow. 5 inch event probably according to the GFS
Chicago Storm
There's really not much to say after the 0z GFS/GGEM. It looks like with the lack of digging into the Southwest from the s/w and organization, we're looking at a weaker/less organized solution. GGEM looks like it'd be a decent hit as well.
snowstormcanuck
Latest GEM says congrats Duluth for the 3rd time in less than a month. That QPF maxima in E WI/C MI may actually be snow away from Lk Michigan, based on thickness.

michsnowfreak
It would be nice to at least see the first measurable snow of the season! But so far looks like WI will be the winners.

LES'll be ripping next Friday and Saturday, probably extending inland a fair bit. If you're content with 0.2-0.3" type bullcrap, I think we've got a good shot. snowstormcanuck
Gem still a lot of energy left behind. Yeah, it did the same thing at 12z but nothing came of it. That little s/w just sheared out as the main trough progressed east.

I don't know about that. Under the general configuration amongst the guidance, and they are converging and becoming more consistent, northern MI and UP would beat out WI with lake enhancement and lake effect on the back-end. Moneyman
Daddy, GFS gives most of WI at least 4-5 inches. Hopefully it continues to show this. I believe the last 3 or 4 runs, it's been showing a nice hit for WI.
daddylonglegs
No idea what the Euro does... hopefully its similar to the GFS and we can get a good base of snow on the ground... I like the consistency
