Messenger, you deserve a tremendous of credit for nailing this storm from start to finish. You don't get the respect you deserve on this site. Sure, you're a raging contrarian who ruffles a lot of weenie feathers...but if I needed a forecast at the eleventh hour I'd be calling you up. You may not have the AMS seal of approval but I'd take you over 99% of these idiots who are on tv all across the country who go down to that school in Mississippi to get their degree.

he was also wrong. factor that into your equation

not bad. any snow is good snow.

we ripped hard out here the last few hours.

i need to snap some pics and need to get more measurements but deck railing says 3"...grill says 4"

still snowing, but much lighter now

Yeah, it ripped for about 40 min here. Perfect dendrites. It must have ripped down over cstl se mass. There were 40dbz echoes in there.

Euro was on the money with the second area pivoting in.

yeah i looped back on the radar from overnight. pretty cool. messenger should have 2-4" unless the power plant is doing funny things to his yard.

models really were not as bad as perceived...in the end the two/three day totals are fairly good when compared to what the average of guidance was showing.

and the value of human beings showed itself so much over the last several days. how many times did we say the norlun would crush someone?

That's what I was trying to say...models weren't bad up to last evening. Maybe the gfs was aggressive, but the euro seemed fine. I even said to give it a chance until all is said and done..given that band coming in. It showed the jackpot areas near you and up through ern ct and srn orh county. That's pretty good imo.

First time I can remember that seeder feeder mechanism really that far inland in my area, probably the coolest radar sequences in multiple winters occurred this week. Wow

LOL Phil, wake up to LOL ing in a winter wonder land

maybe i should have let it go unsaid but sometimes things need to be mentioned i think.

people who actually have a stake in the game put *a lot* of time in to trying to get this stuff right...from tv guys to nws to private sector folks.

things do bust sometimes. that's the way it goes. but this event really didn't for the most part and reading ad nauseam how awful the forecast was blah blah gets old and tiresome. if someone wants to say something about bad forecasts...that is totally fine and welcomed...but the point can literally be made in one simple post. you don't need 25 posts saying it (plus, it makes you look like a fool when you are wrong).
