Does anyone remember another time when a 975-985mb low very close to the benchmark was unable to deliver significant precip to the region? We can see why it happened - the vorticity was split and we really have two centers competing at all levels....with the easty winning.... Nova Scotia FTW...

But I can't really recall anything like this prior.

Beautiful water vapor...

not a good joke today.. just saying.

I didn't know about it either until a short time ago. We all know he meant it in jest.

I'm trying to figure a way where the warnings are still up but even where the precip is steadier like the islands...it's still 34-38. I don't think it gets cold enough here, and I'm now wondering whether we see any accumulating snow on cape cod tonight...until after 3am with whatever is left in the backwash?

Dusting to two inches seems reasonable for Cape Cod at this juncture.

Paul, glad you came back to the table.

Thanks Pete. :)

@ CT Blizz That was two people only who caused me to act hastily that night.. sincere apologies :( I'll explain what happened.

@ Ginx. Yes, there was a nice family resturant at the end of the street across from LZD apt entrance.

-SN here and 1 mile Vis. now. Nice flake size.

Wait...when the hell did all that melt? I thought you said you had 4-6 left when you got back on Sunday..and it wwas concrete? How did all that melt? It wasn't warm this week.

Well the 15" was encrusted and I still have 3-4" of that left around. The stuff that fell early this AM melted away except for the coldest spots. It's been above freezing all week here, today included.

What do you have there now? I think we're done to be honest, we may see an inch or two if we get very lucky but I'm half expecting to see bare ground here in the am.

Total, total disaster.

The models were really very good, they just can't place a surface low accurately six hours out :) . It's really odd that they can seem to place the troughs fairly well.

Models did ok with this. They showed the Cape getting snow and the band near ORH and ern CT. Sucks you don't get snow.

I had an inch maybe 20-30 min ago? I havent been out since, but its been going pretty good for a while. I think I should be mostly done over the next couple hours. But I'll be very happy with 2".

I was sneaking a peak at radar while I was out. It looked like the echoes were intense near you and especially west, but I would have thought you'd have more then 1". Perhaps it was the echoes aloft.

I could be nearing 2"...I'll go out and check. Its only been going like this for about 2-3 hours, so it would have had to be really ripping to get more than 2".
