Amped
I found the event that the GFS and Euro advertising to be rather intersting. I am 90% sure I95 will be mostly rain, however it is interesting becauyse the storm track is horrible, up into the Great lakes and there is a high off the Carolina coast. However, Vold air extends very far south and the storm moves E too quick for tthe storm really has time to pull the 0c line up the E side of the APPS. I think this might end up being a good setup for Central PA into Vermont. It might also end up being a big ZR event for some areas. I can recall two such simalar events. 17-18 January 1994 http://www.meteo.psu.edu/~gadomski/NARR/1994/us0117.php 3rd February 2004 got 12" in State College from that one http://www.meteo.psu.edu/~gadomski/NARR/2004/us0203.php So 1/15 could turn out like one of these, or if it slows down and amplifies it might just turn into a regular lakes cutter with rain into Canada.
