Exactly, I'm 44 and have a degree in meteorology so I do know climatology is on our side and just a abnormal couple of years here but I was just speaking from the most recent 2 years has there been any storms that have had a rain/snow line set up in the "traditional" I95/287 area and we got 6"+. I know over the long haul we average more snow up here but was just making an observation about the past 2 years which have had 2 completely different setups in the Pacific but yielding the same results IMBY.

Agreed. Though, i think he might be saying the same thing.

One person said they heard 17". Another said three feet. :arrowhead: People are asking if we're going to have Thursday off too!

Ugh, I should just print my map and tape it to myself. People are going to be disappointed if they're expecting that much.

Someone asked me on Twitter if 40" was a possibility. He wasn't kidding either.

I don't know how old you are or how far back your recollection goes but it is more the rule then the exception. Most years you always here that it will be all snow in the NW suburbs and rain or a mix from I95 east. Any Philly people want to help me out here?

I think that sums up 2007-2008 right there. Including one storm that was supposed to be rain-->snow, dropping 2-4". We stayed rain the whole time, while Quakertown and N got the snow.

This is going to be a "not enough to close work, but too much to safely drive in" kind of storm for Wednesday morning.

Agreed...luckily I'm in grad school in westcheter and I doubt they'll open weds morning. I also suspect that many ppl won't drive into work since it seems it will at least still be snowing rush ur weds morning. Public transportation is the way to to unless the higher end of the 6-12 verifies in the NYC metro area then you're pretty much SOL with delays and cancelations up the wahzoo

If conditions are lousy and snow still falling Wednesday morning, I'll burn a vacation day and enjoy the snow from home. No biggie here.

That day was weird because down here in the suburbs we got the same as Allentown, yet I don't think the school district here even delayed.

Easton / Nazareth Area SD's are very notorious for closing their schools very prematurely. They've given a delayed opening and early dismissals for 1" of snow. Ridiculous and to think my taxes pay for that.

Has anyone noticed Accuweather having errors with certain counties? Anytime Union, Essex, Bergen and a few others have watches/advisories it doesn't highlight on their map.
