ORH_wxman
William is one of my favorite posters on here as he has a fetish for snowfall climo like I do...but I'm pretty positive he isn't anywhere near 80 years old. If he is then kudos to him for fooling everyone (and being one of the most lucid 80+ year olds who also posts frequently on a weather forum)...but he recalls many events from the 1980s and I don't think he has mentioned many recollections before that time period...perhaps the 1970s, but I cannot say for sure. I certainly don't ever hear any of his recollections from the 50s or 60s if he is that old...and I'd expect he would have said much about the 1947 storm if he was that age too...and again, no recollection of him mentioning his personal experience of that storm. So I'd pin him at somewhere between 35-50...but probably closer to the former...maybe 40ish. Again this is only on a loose recollection of his posts which include lots of snowfall climo and only a handful of personal accounts...but the personal accounts don't seem to go beyond the 1980s. I could be totally off my rocker though. Just stating a random opinion based off of my observations. Great poster though.

Perhaps, William moved to this part of the country in the 80's. That would explain his limited personal accounts of winters here before that time period. William? Very possible...but I would have figured we would have heard a mention or two about some storm before that regardless of his location...people like to tell stories, especially those climo gurus like us. And I never heard any from him before the last 30-40 years...so I assume he is not 80 years old. But perhaps I am mistaken...I already said I could be...just an educated guess on my part, that's all. Dsnowx53
I could have sworn that William stopped by at one of the eastern conferences, and he was middle-aged. Maybe around 40 like Will said. I could be wrong, though.

"william" ...his avatar.... his dry sense of humor... and his complete refusal to ever become apoplectic. i dont know if william is kidding about his age or not......... but based on a comment william made a couple of weeks ago, i dont believe he has a cell phone. (((i'm a regular sherlock holmes)))) now that he's developed this mystique, i'm sure he's gonna tweak it for all it's worth.

He is a wonderful record keeper of weather, he's very detailed and remembers details about storms as if he has photographic memory. One of my favorite posters too. He has quite a bit of Don S in his personality. I believe he's in his 50s.
