I want this event back. 17" of snow spread out over 3 days with near-whiteout conditions at points.

I'd certainly take it. Got around 11" total snow, most of it when the storm backed down from the northeast. On the evening of the 25th, the wind gusts were pretty wild and the temps dropped from 34 to 21 in about 5 hours (between 4 PM and 9 PM).

Has probably close to 12" for us when all is said and done...but we saw how that worked out with this event. :banned:

I don't know how much snow is on the ground north and west of me through PA and central NY, but I think we really need a good inland storm. That would be the ticket to making this winter epic. Major storms for the cities and one or two for us inland people.

lol...the models have the snow out of SE NY completely between 3am and 5am...I'm trying to tell my gf that the snow is going to be hours gone by the time her 8 oclock commute starts...and she keeps insisting it's going to snow til 8am because thats when the weather.com hourly forecast shows the snow graphic until...and that's what the weather is going to be according to her, verbatim. I want to kill whoever introduced those hourly maps to weather.com...all of my friends that don't know anything use it to plan things such as golf, driving, etc...when it is completely wrong or shows a graphic of rain or snow...even if the % chance is 20 or 30 and actually is 0 if you knew anything and looked at the models.
