Ginx snewx
Kevin you are off your rocker, beautiful high intensity bomb hugging the coast, very RGEMish, hoping it happens that way.
ctsnowstorm628
Looks like some spots in CT could also potentially pick up another 1-3''...maybe spot higher amounts as well on Sunday. SE CT gets 5-8" off that run

Clinch Leatherwood
yeah it's the nam...we'll see what happens. would be a fun event if it panned out. OT - i just noticed that you are a posting machine - 1500 in like 3 weeks!! how the heck do you have time to do that?? weatherwiz
SE CT gets 5-8" off that run Taking a look at 700mb VV maps there is an insane amount of lift over CT so I could CERTAINLY see a widespread 5-10'' from this run for SE CT and possibly even more out to the east. correnjim1
Exactly. In Kevin's day you either walked, or rode the brontosaurs. I had to walk to school in three feet of snow with no shoes,up hill both ways.....

free_man
Mass hysteria some of which we're responsible for even here. They endanger more lives by forcing parents to run around trying to get out of work, having others pick their kids up etc...for what? Snow by 2-4pm? Not only that, the kids hiding and playing in snowbanks on their snow-day off, is a major hazard in itself.

ski MRG
Snow of varying intensity this AM. Winds have started ripping from theEast in the last hour. Nice snowy day. weatherwiz
i totally agree with that...lift will be crazy. very intense snows if that pans out. That's why I waited until looking at those maps before I went with higher totals. Sometimes I think some people just look at QPF output and go right from there but QPF isn't everything...I understand that the QPF field does take features like lift into account and such but it's not perfect by any means. It's nice to see good QPF values but you also want to double check to see how strong the lift is, where the strongest lift is, and if there is any potential for any dry slotting or downslopping...basically anything that can keep totals down, despite the nice QPF graphics. Then you have to ask yourself, What are the chances of actually seeing this much QPF and how widespread will it be? You know how it was in the old days lol. Clinch Leatherwood
RGEM wide right. NCEP no model diagnostic, sneaking suspicious they're finding data errors. Too funny that each model plays with a solution in tight only to dump it. Fairly similar through 36, just doesn't get it together at 42 until it's just about 50 miles too far out. CCB just grazes the Cape, maybe a T-2" and more towards the outer cape and islands. Phil #1500 what do I win?

Kbosch
Yeppers, stopped flurrying here, this is a jerz jackpot! I've had simultaneous occasional flurries/sun for a while now. Thankfully it went back behind the clouds for now as it may stay for the day with what I see to the west. It's sooo close.
moneypitmike
Yeppers, stopped flurrying here, this is a jerz jackpot! It's working its way up the HRV pretty nicely. Right now, seems to have a much more N-S orietnation than I would have expected from the models. Flakes stopped here for now as well. Edit: flurry uncancel. Kbosch
It seems to be creeping east. Indeed. It probably won't snow for a while but I do hope that is the end of the sun here until tomorrow. To me it's not a fun sight on a day where you're expecting snowfall.
