Wow that sounds great...good luck!

I'm rolling along.....working pretty hard and enjoying family. I was born in Brooklyn...center of the earth! Yeah my BY really did quite well for a change and I enjoyed it immensely. It's better when everyone else does great though along with you.

Thanks Jerry ... I'll never forget meeting you at the conference in '06 - Eastern used to be somewhat cliquey but I'll always remember you being accessible to me that afternoon in Baltimore and saying, "Hop in, we're going to lunch" ... while some other folks were like, "Who is this new guy?"

Ah yes, re: Brooklyn... unlike any other place I've ever lived... had more culture in one block of my neighborhood in Park Slope that the entire Centre County of Pa. where I went to grad school... tried to get to Prospect Park at least 4x/week... there was one storm where all the streets were wet/slushy but the park had 6" ... dang that NYC heat island ... I think it'll probably a location I strongly consider when I start a family.

Anyway, congrats on the local jackpot in the blizzard and wishing you all the best snow-wise and otherwise in the future... you rock, my man!

Craig Allen feeling it,tar. My thought is this still has time to tick west

Craig says

That trof of snow is still in CT- from the Ct River Valley east, then south down to Montauk. Remarkable. And as if that's not enough to ponder, a near-repeat performance late Sat & Sat ngt. Another storm intensifies upon hitting the water mvg from VA to east of LI. This track may cover coastal NJ and much of L.I. Lets not even talk about midweek, next week.

Fantastic few days for snow lovers. Looking decent for 1-2 back here, 2-4 middle of the state, more east. Or we could get really lucky.

Dude why am I looking at the fooling big dipper, man now I know what LES guys feel like when their next door neighbor get 20 and they get PC

LOL - Pathetic. I know. I actually just let the f*cking dog out for the last time tonight, and for the first time today it seemed like the entire sky was cloudy. Maybe you and I will get lucky and wake up to a whole trace tomorrow.

Hahaha, not so much... but I do remember you busting out the NOAA radio on the drive over!

Here's the sick thing....I remember the seabreeze kicked in and temps in BOS dropped into the mid 70s at that moment...even though we were a stone's through from BWI. I have to go this year...haven't been in awhile other than a few hour appearance at PVD last year.

looks like pete has been under steady snows out in GC.

what the heck is the new london area reporting for totals....just getting bombed for a few hours....must be nearing a foot a few miles from the coast above 200'

The official reporting station...Groton/New London airport for the first time of the event seems to be accumulating. It's down to 33 there with viz of a half mile...all night long it's been 35 with with high visibilities. What's the proximity to this reporting station from the water?

Is he doing any tv work in addition to his legendary work on 880? I lived in NYC in the mid-90s and I always thought he and Nick Gregory were the best. For the life of me I never understood why Channel 2 never hired him to be their Chief MET!!

Craig is on FOX here....they pretty him up the best they can lol...Best weather forecaster I've been lucky enough to enjoy/. If Craig says it's on, it's on....

It looks like one of those multi lake connection lake effect plumes off Lake Ontario. Now the people in CT know what it's like to be under a LES plume. :) It keeps spraying right back to us in ENY... 5 inches now.

hmmm not sure.... they must be on the damn water. what a waste of high QPF amounts if that is accurate. also there were reports of sleet down there as well on the board.

Probably about 2.5" here. Adding up quickly now that some heavier echoes seem to have moved in. I can definitely see how some places in CT wound up with 12 to 18" of snow. The fluff factor is ridiculous. This definitely reminds me of the 2/25/90 event, which was one of my favorite childhood storms while growing up in New Canaan. We got 15" of practically unforecasted snow from that one. Models didn't have the resolution that they do now.

We're probably about 1 to 1.5 mile visibility yet it is adding up fast with large dendrite agglomerations. The visibility would probably be less if the flakes weren't clumping together as much. Even though I wasn't expecting much here on the West Slope of the Berks, I'm hoping we can pull off a little surprise. The East Slope will probably win out this time as there is likely some orographic enhancement going on there with the E flow. The ALY radar often doesn't pick it up.
