I doubt the NAM is right with that track. H5 low quickly heads eastward as energy within the trough becomes phased offshore. Something is fishy with this, I don't know if it is right, but if the NAM is I will be happy if I get a coating of snow with that 00z run. NAM has been so inconsistent with this setup that I am actually wondering if I should even pay attention to this model now that the storm is within 24 hours of occurring. I mean 1.5" of QPF to my south and nothing really up here. Hmm?

Band looks to be weakening a tad .....still moderate to heavy snow (w/ratios) in tolland county ...esp. southern part but heaviest stuff is staying over SE connecticut the 30-35 dbz stuff.

i'm crossing my fingers for ginx so that he can get pummelled within the hour......ginx are you in southern part of town?

No Pickles, NE section right at the RI border, SterlingCt is about 100 feet from me, right next to Foster RI about five miles away, East Killingly CT is about a mile from me.

This band was pretty well depicted the past few days on radar for SW CT into Westchester CTY.

Here....very light OES from time to time....coating to maybe 0.2 on the ground. Looks like maybe some OES firing as the band moves NE. Not sure if I'll ever see it but great show guys in CT!

Oh Jerry, I have missed you! How are ya, man?

I had to text Midlo to find out about the new forum - I kind of snooze through the summer/fall and have been very busy with work but it's awesome to be reunited!

How's it going Dan! Wish you were still in Boston. Where are your working these days? There's something sweet about tiny little pixie flakes in a chilly night in Brookline. But you got it REAL good!

wow at the dbz now from alb SW....heaviest all day out there in a nice large pocket 30-35 dbz with prob. amazing ratio's.....take a peek...Will or scott or anyone what do you think ratio's are out there

Ginx looks like he's gonna go to town in the next hour......

that little finger of convergence is sloooowwwwlly sliding East at the same time the band is pivoting NW with decreasing latitude as time goes by. I think westerly rhode island will be able to get into the heavy heavy stuff by midnite.

will be watching those SW RI traffic cams cause that band is still going to town along RI/CT S Coast.

You guys recall Eksters posts a few days ago how this event reminded him of how he got 13 inches from a norlun when he lived on Long Island. he was basing that soley\on how it was being modelled. Great call

I'm pretty sure this is the way the radar looked on 2/25/90...except the band that day was probably oriented more e-w than this one. Based on the obs ive seen from ppl today, it sounds like an instant replay based on my memories of snowflake size, rates, etc. Every event is different...never exactly the same...but this is pretty close.
