Dude. I went through these bands. You could easily get 8 inches. Ridiculous how it pours down in these bands.

To give you an idea: I was out at 6pm to measure and I had 7 inches. Out again at 8 and I had 13". That's 3" per hour! I just wished it had happened during daylight. Didn't even realize it was coming down that hard while we were eating dinner.

As obnoxious as I can be, I ALWAYS admit when wrong.

It's all good.....I'll get mine, whether it be this year or some other.....done with the temper tantrums....life is too short.

Hope the folks getting hit enjoy!

 I don't think you're ever obnoxious. People are sensitive to your snow love, I don't know. I could very well have been wrong - just what I thought despite their unpredictable nature.

And so many people here said a few days ago how someone could get a big jackpot and we might see localized totals like those that materialized today. However, most backed off when the closer runs didn't show it. They were right and the trough turned out to be a classic one. Credit to them as well.

Some clouds, and lots of clear. Could have sworn I saw a meteor shower going on.
Lovely night.
Good to not have that pesky snow that others are having to deal with.
The Davis mentioned a meteor shower a day or two ago.

NIce. A little closer to the band I guess...

This could get interesting for us a little later if that stuff can hold together reasonably well. Not saying we'd get a SW CT type deal, but we could pull off a quick 3 or 4" if it holds together decently and then interacts with the easterly upslope flow.

Its a very tough call though and a nowcast type deal. I could also see us not getting much at all but that banding in E CT is starting to make some progress northward.
