This has to be on the of the best inverted trough type events in years down in SW CT...they are not very common there. Someone should crack 6" or 7" I would think.

For sure. We never do well. I kept saying we should get an advisory-type event starting a couple days ago just because it kept being modeled near us somewhere, but I didn't expect this much. I'll probably have 4-5, in hilly areas they will get 6 or 7. Down towards Greenwich/Stamford I think they must have around 6. Danbury and spots east might have what, 10? More? This is going to be fun in about 5 minutes.

It was pretty impressive from my area through SW CT...had 4" here and Alpha measured around 6" there, I believe. Sharp cut-off with Central Park only seeing about 2" snowfall. Unusual to get this much from an inverted trough in Westchester, but everything seems to be going our way the last few winters.

well that was the best dump of snow ive seen in years 3-4 inches has fallen and it all happened fast. back to light snow now

You are in Branford right? Here in North Branford we are almost at 4, still heavy snow. Radar still looks good for both you and i (if you are at Branford), could get interesting.

Just throwing this out, think they're doing a very good job at BOX, this is all you can do at this point. Just like today if it comes together someone could easily get 10", if it shifts a little more bleck

"OUR PRELIMINARY THINKING IS FOR 3-6" FOR SE MA AND CAPE/ISLANDS E OF

PYM-EWB LINE WITH LESSER AMOUNTS TO THE NW. HOWEVER...THIS IS TRACK

DEPENDENT AND ANY DEVIATION IN THE LOW TRACK WILL AFFECT THE SNOW

ACCUM. WE HAVE MEDIUM TO HIGH CONFIDENCE AN ADVISORY WILL

EVENTUALLY BE NEEDED FOR THE CAPE/ISLANDS AND POSSIBLY PORTIONS OF

SE MA AND RI. LOW PROB FOR WARNING LEVEL SNOW OVER THE CAPE/ISLANDS.

BECOMING WINDY ALONG THE COAST SAT NIGHT WITH SOME BLOWING AND

DRIFTING POSSIBLE.-- End Changed Discussion --
