Kbosch
Yeah, I'm at 4.5" now, looks like we end up with about 6" Look at what is south of us right now - wow! And it's still snowing with very little on radar, that's going to be amazing.
CCPSUSuperstorm2010
Sky has that snow look to it, but the low level clouds are to the south and east of me right now. Temps in the mid 30s. 18z NAM didn't look so good, but that could change if the 18z GFS and GEFS means look good.
codfishsnowman
Heres my wish list eight to ten inches of fluff tonight four to six inches more tomorrow night two feet on late tues/wed that would make up for all the snow that was forecasted but never recieved for the greater springfield area...taking an average forecast accum of all the storms since last DEC that would be in the range of about three feet plus!! And trust me there were NO OVERPREFORMERS!! It is nice to dream anyway... so far today i saw two or three flakes and we are just starting to cloud up..29 degrees...average forecasted accum for us about two inches for this event..we will see what happens lol
cpickett79
whiteout here maybe see 200 ft at the most . 2-3 inches fell in 1/2 hour. and its wet snow. pics! that is amazing..... even MPM is getting under a moderate band which runs west back to pittsfield...interested to see if the dry area beneath this band fills in (or where)
Clinch Leatherwood
Did anyone get the 18z RGEM? It froze up at 12 hours on the CMC site.
HIPPYVALLEY
It used to snow out here in N ORH county... You kids get off my lawn!!! Didn't you hear? We've declared everything from Moneypit's to your house part of the Ct River Valley snow evaporator.

CCPSUSuperstorm2010
Taunton NWS WFO thinks WWA criteria will be met with medium confidence and low probs for low end warning on Cape/Islands. Right now they are probably seeing the 18z NAM and staying cautious until tomorrow morning model runs come in.
cpickett79
new haven, ct 33/31 1/4 sn+ and SE winds 13 g 22 ....do they stay snow on the coast with the SE Wind?
ChrisM
RUC in general has been decent with progression. In 6-8 hours the bands will be slicing through about hartford. After midnight they'll finally make it all the way into eastern CT/western RI. But you've got to realize the best forcing is occuring now. Notice the little spin rotating through about western CT now? Once that slides away.... (adjusted for bad math on time) http://www.rap.ucar....e=-1&duration=5 some precip actually looks to be getting eaten away in a southward direction, nevermind lack of progression northward. I'll give it another hour. I guess I'm just weird about it because last year I watched a storm do this for hours and two towns over got 8"+ while I got 1.5"

monroe
Yeah, I'm at 4.5" now, looks like we end up with about 6" It is really nice out - no wind and 31. Looks like another band swinging through. I'll try to time it with walking pooch.

Clinch Leatherwood
GFS is a smidge weaker on the first system coming off Hatteras aloft, but looks like it's trying to wrap better the 2nd into PA.

Clinch Leatherwood
If the trend doesn't end and the energy shoots around the base of the ULL and gets released earlier forget it. The gentle shift continues and at 500 it's not so gentle.

ORH_wxman
Looks like it is moving in perfectly to pound us. One last hurrah. This has to be on the of the best inverted trough type events in years down in SW CT...they are not very common there. Someone should crack 6" or 7" I would think.
