nzucker
These are just sweet...I've always wanted to travel to Alaska, definitely on the list. Why is there so much less snow in the final picture? Where is that?
wederwarrior
These are just sweet...I've always wanted to travel to Alaska, definitely on the list. Why is there so much less snow in the final picture? Where is that? Thanks for checking them out! The last picture was on jan 4th. Just north of Denali National Park. It actually reached 49 degrees in Fairbanks the day before....I was preparing for -50. It was very strange, on the way up through there 2 days before it was completely frosted over. A storm came up and produced 10 days of snow, powder and clouds, and unfortunately......... no Aurora, But, It was an experience i'll never forget Norway is next

That was the first time I was there in the winter, and it was amazing..they average something like 700" of snow right? really cool people there as well

Not sure exactly what they average but 700" certainly seems reasonable. I'll probably move back there sometime in my life.

Redmorninglight
I got to get to Alaska to ski. I've been all over the east and in Utah and Colorado, but I am sure nothing compares to Alaskan powder and low timberlines! Great pic's!
