Stormsfury
Here's the color legend for the North Carolina Map...of course with a little Tobacco Road humor Tarheels: 3-6 inches Dukies: 6-9, with mix especially south of I-40 Wolfpack Red: The big winners with 10 or more...I'm thinking someone over around Highlands or Rosman are gonna get the jackpot. South Carolina Color Legend: Red: 10 or more Royal Blue: 5-8 with mixing especially 85 and south Purple: 3-5 inch burst followed by sleet/frz rain Light Green 1-3 inches, .25 or more ice Dark Green: 1 inch or less snow, .25 or more ice inland, changes to a cold rain along the immediate coastline (Georgetown County and south) Dan I really like that map for South Carolina and kinda saves me from doing one now lol
Blue Ridge
Robert, Is this including or excluding potential flow snow? If excluding, wow. I haven't had much time to be on the board recently, and MRX seems to be downplaying this compared to other (independent) forecasts I am now seeing. Snow haven
My last call before it starts: haha for a color blind person like me that's a hard map to read. but looks good from just going by the totals.
Ellinwood
Just popping in to note the crazy snow that NC is getting right now... many mets (including myself) weren't expecting that much snow that far south! Not even the GFS was on board at 6z this morning: (Image courtesy of MDA/EarthSat)
kanc2001
maps look good, but seems noone caught the heavy totals around ILM
NEGa
since the main part is over here, we are down to freezing drizzle and light sleet, a lot of those maps were very close! great job too multiple measurements (of course) that werent really on a board or anything, but just on my deck, around the yard, etc. the last ranges before the changeover was about 10-11.2" or so (also a few lower). so i am thinking probably a good 9.5-10" snowfall here
oconeexman
Robert and Phil nailed it for my county...generally 8-12" I probably would have measured an average of 8 if i'd done it before the sleet downpour.
Hugo
maps look good, but seems noone caught the heavy totals around ILM This is a much bigger storm for NE SC/SE NC than people thought, with the exception of the Grand Strand.
