Seems temps have virified a bit warmer than forecast for today. Just makes me think about the fact that even with the Christmas storm, we really struggled to get our temps down. Then I think of last night with the rain (instead of snow), last year when the temps were always warmer, etc. etc, etc,. Today's sun and warmer temps just help to modify the severity of road conditions, sticking etc. I think all is still on the table at this time.

Yeah, wassup with these warm temps? For most of the week, the thinking was that Saturday would be very cold. Very recently, there was talk of upcoming historic cold. Now, it seems like there is growing concern that even next week wont be particularly cold.

Got my Birthday snow.

WHOA! Really huge flakes now. Too bad the end is near. Starting to stick

edit...sun is out and a few flurries flying. I could get used to clippers.

Happy Birthday. [And to Elvis Presley and David Bowie]

I was on Cary Parkway around noon today, looked to the west and the sky was purple and black - like a thunderstorm was rolling in on a hot summer afternoon. 15 minutes later I was in the middle of a "flizzard", snow falling, differing size and shaped flakes, blowing in all sorts of directions. Great to see because it doesn't happen here often.

Thanks for the birthday wishes! Yeah the snow was pretty amazing yesterday. It reminds me of when you're driving down the highway in the summer and you just see a wall of rain coming at you from a thunderstorm. I could look off in the horizon and see the snow get heavier to the west and then 30 seconds later it would start snowing heavily at my house.
