Now that the radar hole has mostly filled (I'm guessing the wind started to pick up a bit in a direction the radar could detect), you can see that little band that TTN was under for a while. Looks like its sliding east so I'm guessing they'll start to decrease in intensity shortly...

looks like the snow is starting to back build now all the way back to Lancaster

It's been moving east for a while. MDT had SN at 11 PM and nothing was showing up on State College's radar. Precip is too low in atmosphere for the radar beam in UNV to hit it. It's just now getting into range in the western burbs.

You know, this is really a treat. Not only back to back snow days, but this one is putting down a nice 3-6 across much of SNJ, and noone had to go through the stress of 4-5 days of model tracking, losing sleep with bad runs, etc to get it. I kind've get this weird feeling like I'm 8 again and I don't have models or the internet, like the good ole days!

consistent flizzard since i got up at 10am, despite the radar not showing any precip since 10:45...

looks like about 2" on the street, which was just wet last night. i will measure shortly, although i never cleared yesterday's snow off the snowboard so it won't be too accurate

from the obs, it sounds like there is another band or area of snow out west that is not being picked up by Mount Holly's radar? I've heard snow reports from MDT, Reading, Lancaster, Chesco, but I don't see anything...

Its more like low-topped convective snow showers than a band of steady snow. For example, its just cloudy right now at Harrisburg Capital City Airport, Selinsgrove, Lancaster and York Airport, but 2 1/2 with light snow at Middletown.
